Need to notify gm [ dealer ]about restrictions and requirements on recall and doing diy repair since you could have voided the recall
Testimonial: "But I was told not to tow anything because GM would not be responsible, I tow a pontoon boat and am getting ready to go to the west towing my travel trailer, sure didn't want to loose it"

Best to pop in to your local Subaru dealer and ask them what is required for wiring in a trailer plug, a lot of new vehicle require special equipment to prevent damage to the electronics that control the lighting on the vehicles, especially those that have LED style lights on them. Get a quote from them on cost of them doing the job, and for the parts only if you want to get someone else with a cheaper labour rate to do it.
Hope this helps,
Mark.

There should be a 30 AMP mini blade fuse in the fuse box under the hood that you are probably missing. I assume that since you got the relays with the wiring kit, that you got the kit from a Nissan dealer. If that is true, there should be a fuse in the kit also- in a sealed bag that has the "trailer wiring harness owner's manual" in it.
Hope this is helpful!

yes and they dont want to be responsible for a non certified gm mechanic /person making repairs --the same goes with aftermarket hitches dealers / corporations will usually void or put down about their non responsibility on vehicle file for future info like trade in or when resale shows up on carfax also
