remove the ashtray. then remove the holder for the ashtray. the lighter is just inside. be careful not to short the hot wire to ground. It runs from the battery to the fuse box then to the lighter. Check the fuse if the first if you haven't already.

Pull off the 3 knobs for the heat controls. You will see a screw under the center knob. Remove it. Look to see if there are any screws near the vent grilles, remove them, if they are there. The whole center fascia then pulls out towards you. Remove the 4 bolts, and the radio is out. Easy.

Hurst is the only brand that's worthwhile to upgrade to.

Are you racing on the track?

Spending $ on a lighter flywheel and torque converter will get more bang for the buck.

The TAP Shift system allows the driver to manually shift gears by using the TAP Shift switches located on the Automatic Transmission Shifter. Pushing the Up switch will command an upshift and pushing the Down switch will command a downshift. The TAP Shift system is activated when the gear selector is in the Low (L) position and is deactivated in all other positions.
If the PCM detects an invalid voltage on the TAP up/TAP down switch signal circuit, then DTC P0826 sets. DTC P0826 is a type C DTC.

    Bulb out in center console

You are correct, there is a bulb light lights only the center console...you will need to pull up on the shifter in order to gain access to the bulb...you don't always have to remove the shift knob to gain access to the bulb holder...if you need to remove the knob...pull the shift lever all the way down to low gear...this should best expose the rear of the knob...you should see a u clip that needs to be removed...(needle nose pliers) in order to lift the knob off...to reinstall just put the knob back in place...the u clip must be re-installed to hold the knob on...Hope this helps.

Having a hard time putting my car in gear. It has to warmm up in order to engage the button on the shifter to put the car in gear.

The shifter knob that houses the button may be worn out or the shifter mechanism may need to be lubricated. You can try spraying a little WD-40 around the shift button and into the shift knob using the straw provided with the spray can.
To lubricate the shifter, the shift knob will have to be removed and the shift plate removed to gain access to the shifter mechanism.
    Good luck.

Hello kelly fox: my name is Roger and I will help you. There are only a couple of things most likely to be the problem. I would look at the head lamp bulbs first. I have had the same problem of both lamps suddenly burn out on my dodge ram. The only other component is the multi function switch could have a problem. This could happen but most likely the bulbs are the issue. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

    Clock not staying in place

You'll need to remove the entire vertical console (pops out after you remove two phillips screws at the bottom behind the cup holders). There are two phillips head screws (possibly 4) holding the digital clock in place (back side) of the vertical console.
