SOURCE: having trouble locating my idle air control valve

looking at the throttle body assembly, after removing the air filter housing, opposite side of the spark plugs, about an inch or two down, you should see a electrical connection, with four wires, the IAC has two small torxs screws that hold it to the throttle body.

2004 Suzuki Verona 2.5 liter, 6 cylinder. Looking for the idle air control (IAC) valve location please.

The 2004 Suzuki Verona 2.5L does not utilize an idle air control (IAC) valve. Instead, an electronic throttle control (ETC) system is used which Suzuki calls the "main throttle idle actuator" (MTIA). This component is the throttle body assembly but with an internal motor that adjusts the throttle plate open or closed based on accelerator pedal position inputs to the engine control module (ECM). Similarly, the ECM adjusts the throttle plate angle at idle to control idle speed. If the idle speed is not correct, the throttle body may need to be cleaned, calibrated or replaced. Engine idle speed

Sounds like you idle air control valve is starting to mess up. You can actually take this off and clean it with throttle body cleaner and it should help get your idle back to normal. As is sounds the idle air control valve controls how fast/slow your car idles. It is located on the throttle body normally held on with a couple of screws. The throttle body is where the air duct hose coming from the air filter box ends at the engine block. Here is a picture of what you are looking for: a483326.jpg
Make sure that you clean the valve portion and not the electrical plug with the throttle body cleaner. Let it air dry or blow lightly with compressed air before putting it back on. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks for using FixYa!
