Windshield replaced on a 2001 Grand Caravan. The Battery was unhooked during the replacement and the radio and clock won't work. Some say I need a radio code.

sounds like a bad body control module . it is located on the driver's side under thew dash

wiper motor shorted- replace

Make sure to check the engine compartment fuses and the inside fusebox, if all the fuses look good then try to unhook the battery and then connect it back on and start the van and see if this helps. the radio is it asking for a code, if this radio has antitheft then you will need to install the code to make it work, look at manual and it will tell you how to do this. the code is entered using the preset staition buttons, there should be a card in the glovebox with the radio code if it has antitheft. if you find no bad fuses then you may have short out the cluster jumping it, but most of the time it just needs a fuse or reseting by removing neg battery terminal for about 2min, good day let me know the outcome.

There is somehting missing here ... of course they don't work ... you disconnected the battery. Please reconnect the battery for these electric devices to work.

YES IT IS A FUSE AND THE BOX IS UNDER THE DASH, AS FOR THE WINDSHIELD IF THE CHIP IS SMALL YOU CAN CALL A CHIP REPAIR SHOP AND THEY CAN FIX IT

In your owner's manual, there are instructions on how to fix this problem. There is a code you have to enter, and you can find it there.

U will need to enter the radio anti theft code, this lock out was triggered by the loss of voltage to the radio during the battery change, this code is unique to each radio and cam in the owners information packet when the cat was sold new.

Chances are the radio has an internl issue and requires replacement. The EQ draws power and inputs from the radio. A radio exchange is an easy process if you decide to put the sme radio back into your vehicle. Contact me if you need direction.
