SOURCE: Check Engine Light

It sounds like you may have a failing Mass Air Flow sensor, seems like Ive been seeing these tied together quite often. Its a little tricky but a good repair shop should be able to test this sensor. I dont want to tell you to replace it without having it tested cause they are a bit pricey but check around, you never know. Hope this give youu another idea where to look.

SOURCE: check engine light

I would say that your o2 sensors are faulty either the pre or the post . They must be intermitten so I would replace both

SOURCE: Check Engine Light - P2181

Hi,first thing your cambelt and tensioner should have been replaced 13k miles ago,it would pay you to replace the water pump at the same time as they are known for impellor failure = cooling system fault=P2181 code, hope this helps.

SOURCE: why the codes po125 & po135 &po155 keep coming back?

Hi there:

DTC P0125 - Insufficient Coolant Temperature For Closed Loop Fuel Control

The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.
If the code comes back, the problem is likely going to be the result of the above causes (faulty thermostat, faulty ECT sensor, or a low coolant level).

DTC P0135 - Oxygen O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
or
DTC P0155 - 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

A code P0135 and P0155 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

  • O2 Heater element resistance is high
  • Internal short or open in the heater element
  • O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
  • open or short to ground in the wiring harness

In order to solve just...
  • Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors
  • Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)

  • Hopoe this helps.

I have changed both oxygen sensor and spacer also the coolant tempature sensor and the check engine light is still on in my 2005 Audi Quattro 1.8t what else could be wrong?

P0420 means that the catalytic converter is operating below efficiency threshold. Normally, you only get this code if both O2 sensors ARE OPERATING PROPERLY. If you change the O2 sensors and still get the same code, it's an indication your catalytic converter needs to be replaced. But before you replace it, ensure that everything else in the engine is operating properly, so that whatever may have damaged your current catalytic converter doesn't damage a new one.

Having problems with o2 censors changed all o2 censors and check engine light still stays on would like to know if there can be other problem that can be possible

    Hi hope I can help
Why did you change the O2 Sensor? Did you get a code?
And after you changed the sensor did you clear the code?
If you did change the sensor because of the code I have to give you some Info.
Lots of people pull the code from there computer , but what they don't understand is that the code informs you of a faulty reading that was taken from that sensor.
That does not mean that that sensor has failed.
Most of the time that sensor is just doing its job.
It informs the computer that there are stats that are out of the normal range that it will except.
So when your looking at an O2 code you really need to look at the whole system.
The O2 sensor informs the computer of rich and lean conditions. referring to the air fuel mixture.
These conditions can be cause due to fuel injector drips , Poor cylinder compression, even needing just a good tune up.
I always like to say that if your just using a code reader as to apposed to a code-scanner.
A code read will lye to you. If you don't have experience using one.
A code will Point you to the system that is failing not the part.
Check the whole system . As with the O2 you should be looking at the fuel system , combustion and also the sensors in that system.
Hope this help FixYa please leave feedback Thankyou

1995 Chrysler Cirrus LXI 2.5l,O2 censor #2 comm fail

The #2 O2 sensor should be found "down stream" from the catalytic converter. When you crawl under the vehicle, follow the exhaust pipe from the engine to the catalytic converter. Right before the converter, you'll see one of the oxygen sensors. (That's number 1.) When you follow just past the catalytic converter, you'll see another one. (That's number 2, the one you're looking for.)

The role of the #2 O2 sensor is to make sure not only that the #1 sensor is actually doing its job of maintaining a 14.7:1 air/fuel ratio governed by the computer, but it's also making sure that the catalytic converter is not only present, but also that it's doing its job as well.

This isn't a very expensive part, it's easy to find, and will require an O2 sensor socket to do the job. Make sure you don't use any grease on the new sensor! It can actually render it unusable and cause your check engine light to come on again.

That reminds me...When you change out your #2 O2 sensor, in order to turn off the Check Engine light, you'll need to take it somewhere such as an auto parts store like Advance Auto Parts, who have a scanner to connect to your car's computer and clear the fault code. Otherwise, your computer will have to count a certain amount of ignition cycles before it determines that all is well with your emissions system.

Good luck, have fun, and I hope this helps! :)

Check engine light won't stay off

you could have a short in your o2 sensor wire and there for its not reading.Get a shop to hook up a diagnotic scanner and read what they are doing so you can see if its a loss of comunication or not and then go from there. Also make sure it was factory replacement o2 sensors and not one of those multifit jobs.
