My chevy 1994 s 10 is leaking gas how can i fix it

Fit or have it fitted a new radiator and look for a broken sender wire in the loom from the fuel tank.

Justin, The gas leak is probably a rusted out fuel line, the location you pointed out is one of the first places fuel lines deteriorate and leak. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

Could be minor problem with vacuum lines leaking, bad gas cap, bad purge valve, etc. Worth fixing is a call based on everall condition of car, but this could be very minor.

The light will go off, if the problem was fixed. Gas caps don't cause a large leak. Unless you put fuel in it with the car running. Large leaks are usually the vent solenoid stuck open, a break in the line or charcoal canister.

get a new gas cap your evap sytem isnt working if the gas cap doesnt work then you might have a leak and check your EVAP purge valaves

SMELL GAS YOU NEED CHECK ALL FUEL LINES UNDER THE HOOD IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.IF GAS IS STRONG UNDER HOOD YOU DONT SEE LEAKING FUEL LINES.YOUR FUEL RAIL FUEL INJECTORS LEAKING OR FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR O - RING OR DIAPHRAM LEAKING GAS.IF FIND NO LEAKS UNDER THE HOOD CHECK FUEL LINES UNDER CAR FROM ENGINE TO FUEL TANK FOR LEAKS.IF ALL IS GOOD YOUR EVAPORATIVE CANISTER SOAKED WITH GAS OR YOUR EMISSION EVAPORATIVE SYSTEM NOT WORKING. DEALERSHIP HAS TO CHECK AND FIX.

EVAP is actually a bunch of things on your chevys fuel system.

I would start by checking the gas cap....is it secured?
If it is, go see if the cap fails E-check. If it does replace it. If the gas cap is ok then you have to either look for a hose leak in the system or for a cracked or leaking filler neck at the gas tank.

If they EVAP has a more detailed description then you can look at the valving or electrical components that it specifically says are faulty.

It is the feul injector that leaks. I know this after changing gas caps and other stuff. 550$ fix. Good luck.
