Could be glow plugs are fuel draining back to the tank
Let me know if this helps
Sure!
Your car should have a carburetor, instead of being fuel injected.
If it does, likely the carburetor needs to be overhauled.
In most carburetors, there is a needle and seat and a float, which, when the fuel bowl is full, that float pushes on the needle and shuts off further fuel until the level gets low again from driving.
When the needle gets dirty, the fuel can actually drain back to the fuel tank when you turn off the engine, emptying the carburetor.
Then you would need to "pump the fuel up to the carburetor" again to fill the bowl before the car will start.
I would take that amount of time.
God bless your efforts.

Do you hear the fuel pump cut off? Once your pump reaches pressure it should cut off. Also you can try and remove your fuel cap and see if the car will run just know it could cause your check engine light to come on so do not run it very long. If it continues to run with fuel cap off I would say it is your fuel pump. Good luck with that and the best thing to do is get a fuel pressure gadge and see what kind of fuel pressure you are running. I know there are some parts houses that will loan or rent you tools. Good luck.
