Ok there's the numbers. To figure out what the hell that means you have to look at the inside of the cover to the fuse box. left side of dash panel. Good luck.
thanks. already checked the fuses. they are all fine. perhaps I blew a relay???
ah kinda figured that but here is something your car may have some a4's did some did'nt theres I hope a small fuse box on the bottom way way back behind the climate control module. That's your culprit right there if it's not anything in your drivers side fuse box. Best of luck.
also if your'e going back in there..just a suggestion remove the positive battery terminal don't want to arc anything else. best of luck.
my car doesn't have a fusebox behind the climate control, unfortunately

The quickest way to find a short circuit is by putting a bulb in place of the fuse. Anytime the time the bulb lights there is a load. And if the load is a shorted wire the brightness of the bulb will give you a hint. So while you're at it, finding a 'short' is a quicky...keep your eyes on the bulb. gotcha!

You have to remove the trim panel around the stereo/climate control to expose the screws that hold it in place. Once you do that, and the screws are removed, it pulls straight out and unplugs. No need to disconnect the battery and no tricks to it once it slides out.

There is one bulb (for all three knobs) behind the center knob. Turn the knob to the straight up and down 12 o'clock position and pull the knob straight out. Wrap a soft cloth around the jaws of a pliers, that works the best. Pull the bulb out with a needle nose wrapped with a rubber band. The bulb is a sylvania 2721, available at most auto parts stores. You can also use a small piece of vacuum tubing to pull the bulb out. (pull straight out, don't twist it)
