Turning as in steering that is hard is a power steering problem
have the system checked by an accredited power steering specialist shop
Testimonial: "Problem is, this button with the emblem of front wheels going left and rear straight, has been turning on and off for years now. Always the same symptom of turning hard. Always can be corrected by getting that switch off by pushing the button over and over while I back up 4 feet, then forward 4 feet. This feels exactly the same but no warning light on the dash."
so the problem is that the 4wd button is hard to turn to get 2wd or 4wd selection
is that it
your description is difficult to understand compounded by turning buttons and backing up
trying to get the information to help , it indicates that the transfer case actuator for 2 and 4 wd drive is not working as designed so take it to an accredited service center to have the vacuum hoses or wires and the operation of the actuator checked
See photo of the bottom button because it is the exact replica of the warning light emblem that comes on my dash or at least used to. So I push this button and drive forward a few feet. Push the button and reverse a few feet. Eventually, the dash warning emblem goes off and the car drives and steers normally. Now this used to happen a few times a month. NOW, it happens with no warning emblem light appearing on my dash.
Photo is sideways. Button I am speaking of is the one to the right

Hello there - I would suggest checking the fuse for your lights in the fuse box, and check under the hood for a fuse/relay box, and have the relay tested. If the fuses and relays are good, open the hood, and try to check the connection to the headlights and make sure they are securely connected. You also mentioned that when you push the headlights switch forward for brights, and turn on the night time head lights, and neither come on but the daytime lights do, makes me suspect the switch itself may be bad. I would first check the fuses and relays if any. Second, I would replace the bulbs (if replacable). Other than that, my last guess would be an electrical problem in the wiring somewhere. I hope this information helps you fix your lights. Thank you for your time and consideration in my suggestions/answers.

I don't have one of those vehicles but in the Path Finder it meant Low oil pressure or low oil. If your oil level is correct get the oil pump checked out before the engine is damaged.

I have a simular problem. Only mine does not some on. I tried to replace the turn signal switch assembly with a used one. The replacement work ok on the fog lights but the rest was bad. As near as I can figure it, the switch assemble is not well made and had many ways to go bad. Either replace the whole assemble or wire in a bipass switch. I am going to go with a bipass switch. I don't trust the new jeep products.
