Car stering wheel is hard to turn left or right

Car steering wheel is hard to turn left or right. i have a hyundai elantra 2003 woth 82,000 miles. i would check the power stering fluid but when i take the cap off it does not have a dipstick.
The reservoir has a low and max on the ouside but all i can see on the outside of the reservoir is green. Is that the power stering fluid?
What could be my problem?

Your power steering pump has a cap on it.you have cold mark and hot mark.when car is cold engine not running.when you remove power steering cap it should be on cold mark.if not add until you get to cold mark on cap stick..dont over fill or you blow the seal.now when engine is hot been running.turn off car check.power steering cap should read full hot.mean level is correct.when you first check power steering fluid and it was real real low.you got a leaking high pressure hose.or power steering pump seal is leaking.if all check out good.your problem could be low tire pressure.worn ball joints.and tie rod ends.rack and pinion steering gear binding.

2017 Hyundai Elantra steering noise?

This could be caused by the deterioration of this small flexible coupler located in the steering column. The good news is you don't need to have the entire steering column or intermediate shaft replaced as most people think. This tiny, $2.00 flexible coupler and two hours of labor could be the answer to your problem.

I have a 2017 Hyundai Elantra leased since March this year. On 2 occasions I put the key in the ignition but it would not let me turn it. What causes that?

If you park/shut down with your front wheels at an angle, the steering shaft may 'bind' against the mechanical stops in the steering column. If you encounter this, move the steering wheel slightly right or left to relieve the binding and the key should rotate freely.

2003 Tiberon squeals when turning steering wheel and is also hard to turn. Why does this happen?

check your v-belt on P/S pump it migth be loose if not check for a leak there might be a hose passing inside the engine compartment on the pass. side around the shock tower, I saw a lot of those hose broke on Elantra 2001 to 2004.

Steering wheel locks up while driving

If the power steering pump were going bad you'd get a whining noise when turning at slow speeds. You'll also find it hard to turn the wheel. A slipping belt will give you the same indications. Now if the lock pin is engaging the lock plate while you're in motion that would indicate a loose pin.

Either the hose connections are leaking at the rack or the rack is leaking. If you're not seeing any fluid, disconnect one of the bellows at the end of the rack. I bet fluid will pour out

How do you turn on the front and back wipers on a 2007 Hyundai Elantra?

I don't have a Hyundai, so I am just guessing here, but usually there is a stick coming out of the steering columb to the right and left, just behind the steering wheel. One is for your turn signals, usually the left side and the other should be your wipers, usually the right side. The rear wipers should also be on the same stick. Hope this helps. Good luck :O)

Steering wheel vibration whe I rotate it??????

The vibration and rubbing may be separate issues. There could be many causes for vibration, ranging from low fluid, sticky rack valves, etc., to the tires simply grapping and releasing on the pavement. If it only does it under heavy use, such as when standing still and turning alot, then I suggest not doing that. It is hard on a car to turn the steering wheel when the car is not moving.
