It's behind the hazard button on the instrument panel. You have to take out the instrument panel bezel to get to it. It controls both turn signals and emergency flashers.

SOURCE: Where is turn signal flasher located on 2000 Monte

The turn signal flasher is actually the hazard switch on the Monte Carlo, pop the dash bezel off (look for the hidden screws down below) and unplug it and the trunk popper switch. These are common fails on this car, there was a recall on some other cars (like the Malibu of the same year) that also use this switch. It retails for around $22 from GMPartsDirect.com

the signal flasher on this vehicle is part and parcel with the 4 way hazard switch. you must replace the whole hazard switch assembly if the flasher has gone bad. it is available at your local dealer, i believe it retails for around $65. good luck!

Treing to locate the turn signal flasher on a 2001 monte carlo SS

Well believe it or not, the wiring diagram shows the Body Control Module controlling the turn signals. I show a 3 prong black square relay for the turn signal flasher which would be in the fuse block on the driver's side of the dash panel if your car has one.
That BCM is $100 rebuilt if your car uses it to flash the lights.
I would check with a dealer parts dept to make sure. You may need the VIN number when you call the dealer.

No turn signals or hazards???

Check the FLASHER unit; the turn signal flasher is mounted in a clip on the right side of the steering column support bracket. The hazard flasher is located in the component center, under the instrument panel, on the right side. Replace the flasher by unplugging the old one and plugging in the new one.

Hazard flasher -->> The Flasher is located: Front seating area, passenger side, under dash, below glove compartment, mounted in fuse panel

Turn signal -->> The Flasher is located: Front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted on passenger side of steering column

Good luck (remember comment and rated this).

2007 Monte Carlo LT

Likely the signal lights are controlled by an electronic module, not by the traditional bi-metal flasher. The bi-metal unit clicks, the module is a circut board and does not do that.
