My suggestions is to reboot the system by disconnecting your battery for a few minutes an reconnecting it.it might take care of it .

SOURCE: passenger electric window

Hi Ethel101
I think that what has happened with your vehicle, is that the master (driver control) switch has become defective....If you have a friend who is good with electronics you may be able to ask for help in getting it fixed....otherwise a new unit is needed.

Best regards

SOURCE: Window won't go up on 2004 Dodge Dakota pu

Bad window regulator. In the mean time, have someone feather the switch down for just a fraction of a second then going to the up position all the while pulling the window up. It will get the window up eventually.

SOURCE: Power windows will not roll down or up

If your other switches don't work, and the master is not locked, you need a new master as it is keeping the others from working.

My rear window will only go down in my 03 jag x-type

The window Lift cable is broken off or there's an issue with the switch or motor. Check cable first. And if ok then check switch. If all is good then the wires to motor need to be checked. The window lift system is sold as one assembly that has two or three bolts to attach to door frame.

Windows wont roll down and central locking doesnt work

Sounds as if you have a bad switch (you say it felt funny) and these get so much use they do fail. Salvage yard may have this, or check with a parts store. Dealer will be expensive.

My 2004 chevrolet impala power windows wont work

Your master switch could be faulty or a connection may be loose there. I don't understand what you meant on the other concern.

Did you find the problem with your radio Terry? I have a 2005 X type and the radio has just suddenly started doing exactly the same thing - cant change radio station or use steering controls, only the volume knob works.

My drivers side window doesnt close properly by maybe only a couple of mm so apart from being cold it makes a loud whistling sound now when travelling at speed, any suggestions?

Bro, it's just that the automatic stops need reset on the door glass to make it close ALL the way up against the seal. Then no more whistle. I dislike that sound also.

I have a 2004 jeep grand cherokee and the door by the drivers side is giving me problems. The windows wont go down anh also I cant lock the doors

check the boot inside the door, lovely jeep engineers haven't figured out a way to make the wire able to withstand the moving parts yet. you have broken wire inside the boot in the door.

Central locking in my bmw 320 diesel isnt working it wont open the doors but it will start the engine , the spare key is the same so its not the battery of the keys

Providing central locking works when you insert key in lock, try programming keys
Enter car make sure all doors/windows are shut
Switch ignition on and off, remove key
PRESS AND HOLD UNLOCK BUTTON ON KEY
Press lock button on key 3 times whithin 10 seconds and release unlock
Central locking will lock/unlock rapidly to confirm reset
If your key is the type with bmw logo in the middle battery replacement is not possible,as it charges as you drive

Driver window dont go up

The master switch usually controls the lock-out of the other switches. I would start by changing the master switch.(center council switch)
