Hi the crank shaft sensor is located just above the front pulley at the front of the engine and is held in place be a 5mm hex bolt, undo this and remove the sensor then you will need to follow the wire that dissapears under the intake manifold and unplug the multiplug, replacement is the reverse, regards mark

SOURCE: my car has fire to the plugs and i have change

any fault codes stored for the security system?is it an oval key or kinda square?the sqaurish looking one would have a transmitter rot the anti theft system and cause the incident you describe if there is a malfunction.observe the security lamp on dash while trying to start engine.if it stays on solid this is most likeky the area of your problem.

SOURCE: 1998 grand maquis crank no start no injector pulse as well as no ignition spark. Have changed crank sensor, cam sensor, fuel pump, pcm, injectors and still no start no voltage to sensors or injectors

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

Why engine has no ignition spark and no injector pulse?

Did you use a code reader? The camshaft sensor when bad will also not allow the car to start.

When i driving bmw e36 1995 , suddenly the engine shake and broke down, and then i could not start again. Then i check fuel pressure, it's still good but not ignition in spark plug.please help me in this...

This is likely a crankshaft position sensor. This would cause no spark and no injector pulse. You would still be able to crank it and have great fuel pressure. This sensor is located behind the crank shaft pulley and is responsible for sending a signal to the computer to pulse the ignition and the injectors. Let me know if you need anything else.

1996 BMW i 328 won't start

hello, check for a damage crank position sensor this sensor sends the singnal to the dme (digital motor electronics ) to inject fuel and pulse the ing coils and will also start the fuel pump when it see a rpm above 500 this is a good tell sing if you crank the engine and the rpm does not jump there is a good chance that the crank posistion sensor is bad / the battery and engine light will be on untill the engine strarts
