If it wont crank; try the crankshaft position sensor. If it is bad; replace it and clean throttle body. Most will tell you that a sensor is either good, or its not. I can tell you from experience that a crank sensor failing CAN be intermittent, as mine would shut off in traffic. Id put it in neutral, start it back up, and it would go away for awhile. Then one morning aroud 5 a.m. she left me sitting on the side of the road out in BFE and I missed work and had her towed.
I believe it's the ( e.t.c) electronic throttle control. New cars have electronic throttle bodies. The butterfly valve in the intake to open and let air in the motor is electronic. I would try unplugging it and clean connections, and clean throttle body with throttle body cleaner.
Could be from a failing battery or you need to clean the throttle body. Get the cleaner's and google it and watch some videos on throttle body cleaning for your car. It isn't hard to do.

Sounds like electrical problem. You are under warranty, take it to dealer for diagnosis / repair.
