2001 BMW 325 Ci hesitation / stalling issue

Hi All, I need advice: I have a 325Ci with an interesting issue that does not throw a computer code! The car starts, runs and has a bit of hesitation from idling at traffic lights. The car hesitates mostly when at full operating temperature and when the weather is above 80 degrees outside. Hesitation is one contribution factor, but the main issue is that the car is now starting to stall. The stall has happened twice, unfortunately at traffic lights. Once it's stalled, it doesn't respond at all - the car dies temporarily. After a few minutes, it starts again. NO CODES are being provided. Anyone have any good ideas for this issue?

If no code is being retained the fault could be outside the scope of the management system or is a fault that would not adversely affect the exhaust emissions from the point of view of the legislation.

Possibilities are the electrical supply to the management, fuel pressures/volume, injector spray patterns and so forth.

SOURCE: Car hesitates/stalls when engine is warm and car starts to move.

Sounds like a bad motor mount, pop the hood and see if the motor shakes or moves rapidly when u put it in gear holding down the brake.

SOURCE: stalling and hesitation, all 4 cylinders misfiring, once warmed car seems to run ok

There are various questions to ask in order to help you.
When does it stall?

If it stalls when the AC of the car turns on, then this handy diagnostic article will help solve your problem:
http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Vehicle_Car_Zone_Cars_Trucks_Vans_Engine_System_Engine_Stalls_When_AC_Turned_On.htm

Likely applicable to your situation--since you say the car runs fine when it is "warmed up"--when the car stalls because the engine is NOT warmed up and is otherwise cold, this handy diagnostic article will help solve your problem:
http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Vehicle_Car_Zone_Cars_Trucks_Vans_Engine_System_Engine_Stalls_When_Cold.htm

And as to backfiring when you initially run your car, this handy article really helps in identifying the common causes of such a problem:
http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Vehicle_Car_Zone_Cars_Trucks_Vans_Engine_System_Engine_Backfires.htm

This should help.
Good luck!

Have you replaced the timing belt? if not i would highly recommend doing so. these cars need to have the timing belt replaced before it breaks otherwise it can and will cause major engine damage.

My 2004 BMW 325 ci convertible is difficult to start.

If the fuel filter has been replaced, then maybe these are other reasons:

1. intake camshaft sensor (known to go bad on BMW E46s). ~$100 part.

2. fuel injectors (though I doubt they go bad that easily). ~$100/ piece. Your car has 6.

3. Ignition coils. ~$90 a piece. Your car has 6.

4. mass air flow sensor. Again, another expensive part. ~$300.

I have a 2002 bmw 325ci and need to replace the heater control dose it have to be codid when i replace it

if you are replacing the a/c control unit, you should code it to your car. By not coding it, you could have some functionality issues.
