Make sure the pigtail isn't melted also, very common for the pigtail plastic to melt on the inside and short out. When replacing the module or resistor, always replace the pigtail that goes into it. Common for it to melt.

SOURCE: battery removal on a 2004 GMC Envoy

The battery is on the right side behind the fuse box. You need a metric set to undo the 3 screws. Theres one that attaches to the body, one to the bar that goes along the top, and theres one on the left side below the vacuum hose and air induction. After you've taken out those three, you should lift the whole thing out(battery and shroud) together. It's hard to take the shroud off before you lift the battery out. After that, you have to pry the shoud off the battery. The two terminals in the back make it hard. Then just go to any auto parts store and they'll give you a new one.

SOURCE: i have a climate control problem on 2004 gmc

The likely problem is the blower motor resistor pack is defective. It is located behind an access panel below the glovebox. Go to www.trailvoy.com and do a search on "blower motor resistor replacement"

The blower fan on my 2004 gmc envoy runs high speed and will not turn off even when the key is off

You need to replace the blower motor speed control resistor, it is located under the glove box. You can watch the repair on Youtube on an 06 which is the same as your model and year.

What does Fuel Level Sensor A Circut High Input for a 2004 GMC Envoy

The fuel level sensor is in the gas tank, and if it needs to be replaced, the tank must be removed from the truck.
Does your gas gauge work correctly? If not, there could be a bad connection at the tank/sensor or the sensor itself is defective.

2003 GMC Envoy low beam head lights will not come on. The bulbs are not blown, fuse's ok, no power coming to the head light connector. minimal power to the fuse compartment with fuse removed. 9 to 10...

The problem is a Headlight module. Fuse box under the hood has two black modules side by side, the one on your right is the headlight module the one on the left is the fan module. Try swapping them, if the headlights work replace bad module, don't drive vehicle with the bad module in the fan slot. Mine kept going bad because I had a high intensity bulb on one side.

Htg and a/c fan switch only works on high in 2004 GMC Envoy. The a/c and heat work, just the blower only blows on high

Sounds like the blower motor resistor module is bad. It is located behind the glovebox and mounted to the blower motor. Open the glovebox and in the back left corner find a spring, push on spring to release glovebox door completely. You should be able to see blower motor and resistor module.

I have a 2004 GMC Envoy with 4.2 V-6 and I'm getting OBD codes os P128 and P526. Engine temp gauge is fluxuating between 170 and 210 degrees. Coolant level is fine.

these have an electronic cooling fan that has a high rate of failing. Dealer parts only, parts & labor about $700.00 to replace the cooling fan.
