Heater fan motors

The most common issue is the fan relay is NG or a bad AC/ heater switch (if we are talking about the AC/heater fan.

My heater/ac fan sometimes won't work. What do I check first?

$24the AC light does not light until you turn the fan on, that is ok, the issue with your fan only working sometimes is more than likely a faulty blower motor, in some cases it is the switch, when the motor does not turn on try tapping it and see if that makes it work, if it does then it is the motor.
the switch at autozone is part number SW295 and is $16
the motor at autozone with the blower wheel is part number PM136
cost is $24

2007 Elantra air conditioner problems, where is the relay switch located

Why do you think the relay is the problem?? The most common issue if the compressor is not engaging is low system, charge due to a leak.

Ac blower motor

HI. Your issue will be with the actual resistor switch that regulates the current flow. This switch is located within the control cluster(fan speed switch).

Replacing this switch will correct this issue.

99 Wrangler AC Fan Sometimes doesn't work

Well if those two pins look melted, chances are there not making a good contact connection with the other side of the connector. Make sure your ground wires are clean and tight, and you should replace those melted pins. You really cant go much further until you resolve that issue.

1992 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado 6 Cyl 4.3L POWER/AC ISSUE?

AC compressor when activated will ALWAYS draw some power from engine. Ergo less acceleration and gas mileage.

Aircon wont switch on when motor is running. Fan not working either.

If your fan is not working, the AC is prevented from coming on. This is a safety so the evaporator (cooling heat exchanger) does not ice over.

Fix the fan problem, and the AC will work.

If the fan does not work at any speeds (lo, med, Hi). Then you have a blown fuse or wire disconnect.

If the fan works on HI only, then your blower resistor is shot. This is a common failure and can be replaced at your dealer or by yourself if you are handy.
