repairpal.com > Problems > Chevrolet > Cobalt Check Engine Light Due to Engine Misfire on Chevrolet Cobalt .... 2007 Chevrolet CobaltVisitor ... The coil pack was bad and was making the cylinders misfire.
this is normal for most vehicles, it is because the water temp in radiator continues to rise after you shut the engine off. would not worry about it unless it dose not shut off at all. or never runs
Code P0010 Intake camshaft position actuator solenoid control circuit ( CMP )
most common cause is a bad solenoid, but it could be many componets that could cause the code, if you want to try to repair it on your own the only thing you can do is replace the solenoid, all other componets require some speclized test equipment.
If you took it to a shop then take it back and have them fix it. They may have disconnected something and forgot to reconnect it. A check engine light should NOT come on after maintenance.
Or look under the hood and see if there is anything unplugged. Could be anything and still run. The PCM would see a fault and compensate so the vehicle will still run.
The computer has detected a fault in the emissions system that could damage the engine. It disables the engine so you cannot drive it and damage it. It must go to the shop. This sometimes happens after an aftermarket exhaust system is installed and it was not done properly or if engine modifications were done improperly. This can clog the catalytic converter and cause higher back pressure.
