SOURCE: Venture van power door problem

It sounds as though one of the proximity sensors is faulty. Also try giving the tracks for the door a good shot of white spray lithium grease. The door may be binding enough so that the emergency reverse is kicking in.

2003 chevy venture problems

Yes the battery can be effected (drain) but in any kind of weather, unless you turn the radio off when you turn the engine off. The power wire in either application is connected directly to the battery as opposed to being connected to the ACC terminal which will be switched on and off with the ignition. You should connect the power wire (should be RED in color) from the radio plug to the terminal (marked "acc") on your fuse box located somewhere under your dash board. It sounds as though it's possible that the RED power wire and the YELLOW "Memory" wire have been switched, the power wire should be switched with the ignition and the Memory wire should be connected directly to a Battery terminal (marked as Batt also on the fuse box) or to the battery itself. All of these wires should be labeled with a small tab indicating there connection. Example Red wire marked (+ poss power), Black wire (- Neg Ground) Yellow wire (Memory) and usually 2 Green, 2Grey, 2 Blue, 2Purple as for the Speakers Poss. & Neg. respectively.

My electric door in my 97 chevy venture is not working

Okay, First you go and check the RADIO fuse in the underside of the hood. If the Fuse is blown then you have to replace it. If its not then to reset the power door , you have to take out the fuse for 30 sec. then replace and start vehicle then try to open it. Good luck, with them chevy ventures. we had one and we had to replace radiator and Head for $1200 and new window motors twice and switches.

I have a 2003 chevy venture and the winow on

No more fuses,General Motors had alot fo problems with power window motors I personally have replaced hundreds of these in all there models over the years.Sometimes if you tap on the motor with the door panel off while depressing the switch the motor will move again for a while but it will need to be replaced. Just make sure you have switching voltage and ground at the motor connector with the switch depressed.Good luck

Chevy Venture power windows- 2003

It is possible that it is the fuse but if so something caused the fuse to blow. It may be in the wiring which if you pull up the carpet by removing the door floor trim and lifting the carpet you will see the wiring underneath. Probably laying in water. Look for splices in the wiring which will have corroded. Repair the wiring then replace the fuse.
Another problem may be in the motors found inside the doors. The brushes may have worn out. If so you need to replace the motors. Unlikely that both motors failed at the same time though.
Usually the drivers door first since it is the most used.
