SOURCE: ford focus 1.6L TDCI DPF

What is the exact code you got when you scanned the computer?

It sounds like you need a new Diesel Particulate Filter.

2012 Mercedes sprinter code 0208 - P0208?

The P0208 code on your 2012 Mercedes Sprinter is likely a false positive. This code indicates an injector circuit malfunction on cylinder 8, but your Sprinter only has 6 cylinders. The most likely cause of this code is a problem with the wiring harness or connection to the injector. To clear the P0208 code, you can try the following: Inspect the wiring harness for any damage or loose connections. Clean the injector connector with electrical contact cleaner. Reinstall the injector and clear the code with your scan tool. If the code persists after these steps, you may need to replace the injector or wiring harness. The P2453 code is an error in the DPF sensor. This code can be cleared by performing a regeneration of the DPF. You can do this by driving the vehicle at a steady speed of 50-60 mph for 20-30 minutes. If the P2453 code persists after performing a regeneration, you may need to replace the DPF sensor. It is important to note that these are just some general troubleshooting steps. The specific cause of your codes may vary. If you are unable to clear the codes yourself, it is best to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic for diagnosis.

2012 Benz. are DPF sevic able

Hi David.
As far as i know the Mercedes DPF doesn't require a service.
2 important things you should keep in mind.
1: a proper oil grade with low ash, as Mercedes recomend.
2: drive with steady speed at 60 MPH as long as possible while you driving on motorway , this will clear/ clean the DPF.

My son has a 2010 seat Ibiza 1.6tdi, he has had a problem with the dpf filter, and tried the regen but with no luck. He has had the car into the garage several times, had the filter removed and checked,...

Take car to AutoZone and use free Diagnostic Code Reader to identify exactly were problem is.by using code. Remember it isn't always the diesel particulate filter (or DPF). Fault normally is do to soot from diesel gas clogging the filter. If it were me I would have tune-up done every 4 years and have all filters (except Oil filter) taken out and blown every month to keep sensor from tripping.

Have a 2008 f450 and the exhaust system was just cleaned it still has no power and will not go over 25 mph it said to drive to clean dpf

To clean the DPF, the vehicle needs to be driven at 50-60 mph for an uninterrupted minimum time of 15 minutes. (Motorway?). If it won't go over 25mph that's a problem. You need a garage that has computer software, that can put the vehicle into forced regeneration. Other option is to have the DPF removed and the ECU reprogrammed, but there is a question about the legality of doing that.
