I keep getting the error code p0507 or p1507 how can I fix this on my 98 Subaru legecy

Check to make sure the throttle closes fully. If dirty, clean the throttle to allow it to close fully. If you have a throttle cable, make sure it is adjusted to allow the throtte to close. If all of that is good, check for vacuum leaks.

the snsr is located on the right side of trans and can be viewed from the passenger side of vehicle looking down at trans from under the hood.
