Hi I ve got a audi A4 1997 and haf model. I ve got a problem whith the radio. I used to push the code when I the power went out whith 'Scan' and 'RDS' bottons as I know but doesnt works yet. Starts whith...

IMPORTANT NOTE:
You must have the security anti-theft code for your Audi radio from the car manufacturer, or from an Audi dealer!

You can find the radio code at: http://www.radio-code.co.uk/

The sequence of programming for 1997 Audi A4 radio is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.
For example: we have the security code "5079". Then:
3. By the no.# 1 key you will set up the first safe code digit. Push 5 times on the no.# 1 button. The "5" number will be setted.
4. By the no.# 2 key you will set up the second safe code digit. Push 10 times on the no.# 2 button. The "0" number will be setted.
5. By the no.# 3 key you will set up the third safe code digit. Push 7 times on the no.# 3 button. The "7" number will be setted.
6. By the no.# 4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit. Push 9 times on the no.# 4 button. The "9" number will be setted.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed.

The radio is now ready for use!

I finally got the radio code for my 99 Audi a4. But. Dont know how to punch it in.

Turn on radio - the word SAFE will appear in the display. Press th P.SCAN and RBDS buttons simultaneously and hold them down until "1000" lights up in the display.Release buttons. Don't under any circumstances continue to hold them down or press them once again. This will cause the radio to consider the number 1000 to be the input code.Use station buttons 1,2,3, and 4 to enter the code number on your Radio Card. Use the button 1 to enter the first number 2 for the second number 3 for the third number and 4 for the last number.Once you have entered the code and it shows on the display, press the P.SCAN and RBDS buttons down again simultaneously and hold them down until the word SAFE appears in the display.Release buttons. Soon afterwords a frequency will be displayed. The radio is now unlocked.

Hi the radio in my audi a4 has just stopped working -i am unable to tune it in to get any radio stations -the station comes up on the display but there is no sound not even static.

If you are able to remove the radio (you need removal tools), check to make sure the cable for your speakers and antenna are properly seated.

Reset code for Bose Radio not documented

Holding the scan and rds buttons when the radio says SAFE. Then the 4 dashes should come up, enter the code using the station 1-4 buttons. If this does not allow you to enter the code try pressing scan and TP.

How to input radio code for my s reg audi a4

Okay here are your radio options. Audi will charge about $125 to extract the code from the radio but you may try this first
1. Look in the owners manual. If the car has the original packet with the owners manual and other pamphlets, it is likely that the dealer wrote the code down and put it in there in the glove box.
2. Audi puts the 4 digit radio code on a sticker in the spare tire compartment in the truck. It is a four digit code that will begin with 1 or 0.
3. Audi will use the code 1111 as a default code on rebuilt or replaced radios. try that first.
4. still no luck.... go to the dealer and pay the $125 and have them extract it.
