Hi
You will need to take the car to someone with a diagnostic machine ,when you've removed the seat I'm assuming you've unplugged some cables ? If not you could have disturbed the wiring under the seat that controls the airbag which requires a diagnostic machine to reset the light
Hope this helps Nick

More likely to be a sensor - check gsf (google it - german, sweedish, french car parts) for the seat belt sensor

Are you using the seatbelts?
The airbag light is on because there is a problem with the system.
PLEASE do not try to fix the airbag problem yourself.
You could accidently activate the bag and get hurt.

the computer probably just needs reset because the seat belt warning feedback is tied in to airbag system. try disconnecting the neg battery terminal for about 5 min

Hello.
There are quite few components involved in the system that will turn on the air bag light.
Air bags, wiring, seatbelts and sensors are all part of it.
I suspect that when you moved your seat it may have broken a wire near the seat causing the light to come on.
If you want to check for anything obviously broken around the seat area you may be able to save yourself some diagnostic time when you take it in.
Working with air bag systems can be dangerous so I would suggest you take it to an experience mechanic.
Make sure whoever you take it to has the proper tools to do the repair.
Thank you for using FixYa.
