I own a 2003 Lexus ES300. The code C1336 is on. TRAC OFF, How do I fix it? I'm sure it's a computer issue. Something on the emissions was just repaired and it came on

This has been happening to my car as well. It typically happens when your oxygen sensors start to wear out. Mine does it once in a while and I have the local auto store reset it. Go to your nearest auto store and have them tell you what code it is and ask them to reset the OBD so the light goes out. If the light comes on right away and the code has to do with your oxygen sensors, have them replaced. There are three, two are easy to replace, one takes some effort as it is in a tough to get to spot. The dealer will charge you a fortune to replace them so do it yourself or through a local mechanic. It is a very simple task other then the access.

SOURCE: amplifier location 1993 lexus es300

My Son has a 95 es300, the amp for it is located under the front passenger seat. The easiest way to access it is to remove the 4 bolts holding the seat down, and remove the seat. Takes about 5 minutes

I also have the same problem, I would also be happy with a diagram of the location of the sensor.

I have a lexus 2001 ES300 and My trac off and engine light came on while driving making a jerking sound.what should I do?

Sounds like something in the drive train broke. The quick way to find out is to bring it to a shop or someone that has the computer connection to scan the car's computer to pull the code(s) and tell you exactly what is wrong. Unfortunately with so much electronic controls the only way to find this stuff out is to hook it up to the diagnostic computer and find out.

Vsc code c1336

That code relates to a crankshaft position sensor signal. It you have a check engine light come it disables the VSC and Trac system. Until you get that sensor fixed the VSC and the TRAC system will be inop. So whenever you have a check engine light come on that is what you will see. Even though you cancel the check engine light the fault still exists and the VSC/ TRAC light will come back on. That is a sure way to tell that something is wrong.

I have a 2000 lexus es300 and my check engine light and trac off light is on and my engine is not running very well, it sounds like it's in a strain at about 60mph

Get the check engine light scanned by a mechanic. (Some parts store will do this for free, but you may not get a good answer!) This may lead you to the issue with the running problem. Start there.

I have a 2001 Lexus ES300 that has been fixed way too many times. The lights Check Engine and Trac Off are now on and I am out of patience. It has approx. 110000 miles and runs otherwise great. Can't...

Hi. If you find an answer to your problem with the trac off/engine light comming on way too often, please tell me so I can get my wifes 2001 es300 fixed. The dealer claims to have replaced the computer and numerous sensors on it's many trips back to the car lot. Once, it was kept for two months with the same problem comming back after 72 hours of regular use. I found, if you disconnect the battery for app. 20 seconds, then rehook it the lights on the dash go off for about 3 days. Help!!!

When I start my 2003 ES300 smoke comes out the exhaust

The same thing happened to my 2003 ES300 - the smoke is coming from the oil seeping into the motor's cylinders. This is the classic "Oil Gelling" problem in Toyota and Lexus vehicles. There is a factory recall on it, but it only covers to 2002 ES300 not 2003. The Lexus dealer confirmed my "oil gel" problem and went to bat for me with Lexus - they got the repair approved - Thank you Mr Local Lexus Dealer! The cost was nearly $4,000 - paid for by Lexus.

Replaced bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor with an OE

Those lights indicate an issue with ABS or traction control systems. In order to properly diagnose the problem the vehicle's codes will need to be read with a scanner.

Generally speaking there is no danger in driving the vehicle but be aware you may not have functioning traction control and/or ABS while those lights are present.

I have a 99 lexus es300 and the check engine light+trac off sign posts. i normally disconnect the neg. cord on batt and it works but is that sign a serious problem. should i take it to mechanic and get it...

if u disconnect the battery and the light comes off, but then comes back on that means that there is something wrong. It could be something simple or could be major. only way to know to bring it to the dealer or repair shop and have them hook up a scanner to it. as far as the Trac off light, that comes when the check eng lite comes on. your vehicle turns off the traction control (trac off) when u have a fault code which is why the check eng light is on.
