rechk plugs firing order. chk soliniod and coil r ok, rechk fuel is getting into engine- choking usually determines that, u can smell the over choked engine. I f engine turning & choked hold throtel to floor while cranking and leave there until it fires. if no firing happends it must be electrical. rechk electrical connections. Cheers
Are you saying the engine will not crank, or not start ? If you think two of the cylinders are not getting spark, something may have happened to the coil pack or the crank-cam sensors. If all 4 plug wires are getting spark, two of them may be on the wrong cylinders. The firing order is not always the same as the plug wire layout.
If it over heated, could have bad head gasket's, fill radiator with water, crank engine with radiator cap off, if water is push out of radiator while cranking, bad head gaskets', also remove spark plug's, crank engine if any water, bad head gasket, also when spark plug's removed, check for any water on them.If there is any water on plug's, bad head gasket, also could try doing a cylinder compression test, if bad compression, head gasket, no compression, wont start that way.
Can you put a socket and ratchet or breaker bar on the damper bolt,, Can you turn the engine over at all?? that is the big bolt on the pulley where the crank is. If you cannot budge the engine, then it is seized up more than likely and the bearings have melted to the crank.
The firing order is; 1-3-4-2 and the rotor moves in a counterclockwise direction. Turn the crank shaft and set the engine at TDC (top dead centre). This ill set the rotor arm pointing at No1 cylinder. From this point you can replace the HT leads in the above order.
