Well if you didn't already know all jeep chrysler dodge factory cd players don't work very well. I have sprayed high pressure air into mine and it has help but may not solve the problem permanently. I would suggest buying a new cd player. sorry

Your cd changer is stuck in the read mode and drawing power. Sounds like you need to replace the cd changer before it overheats the wiring and starts a vehicle fire.
There may, or, may not be a small pinhole in the front panel of the changer. If it does have this hole, take a paper clip and insert it straight into the hole and this will enable manual ejection of the disk tray. If the hole is not there than the housing has to be removed to gain acess to the disks. Thank you, Dana
I am having the same problem with my CD changer in a 2004 Suburban. Have you found a solution yet? Chevy dealership told me that I would have to replace the radio.
you really need to take the cd changer out of the dash, and then open the cd changer ,is one of you cds is making the problem, ones is remove it should be working fine, good luck
sounds like they may have forgotten to take out transit plugs from radio which holds cd mechanism in place when shipping unless you got a new radio thats a dud? but that may also mean dealer didnt check operation of new unit after replacement if replaced which is what usually needs to be done when this error message comes up
the laser system this damaged you have two options to repair the laser or to change to The 6-disk CD to changer but cheap is to change to the 6-disk CD to changer
the radio is failed internally, you need a new radio - its possibly jambed and you can remove the top plate on the radio and remove the discs - but it might lock up again
BE SURE THE CD THAT CAUSED THE PROB DIDNT HAVE ANY TYPE OF STICK ON LABEL THAT MAY OF COME OFF INSIDE, ALSO IVE SEEN CHILDREN PUT COINS IN THE CD SLOT IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN. MAY WANT TO TRY A CD LENS CLEANING DISK PROB FIND AT RADIO SHACK OR BEST BUY TYPE STORE.
