Sounds like you have issue with the push button controls for the window. I really don't think I had to say it. If you remove the door panels and check it out you may find, rust broke wires, bad connection some simple problems which need a better visual look. If a window goes down but not up. It should not be a fuse, relay or power issue unless the connection is a problem.

SOURCE: passenger electric window

Hi Ethel101
I think that what has happened with your vehicle, is that the master (driver control) switch has become defective....If you have a friend who is good with electronics you may be able to ask for help in getting it fixed....otherwise a new unit is needed.

Best regards

SOURCE: window switch for driver control and passenger switch window

sounds like you have a passenger window motor problem. Try hitting the right door panel hard, down near the speaker opening and pushing the switch at the same time. If it moves, the motor windings are and needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: drivers side window switch not working on 2005

the drivers door switch is most likely bad, they get used the most and wear out first, the connector on the back of switch may have come loose and not making good electrical contact, remove switch and check connector and if still not working need new switch, the windows are all on same circuit and either all work or none work so not fuse. extremely rare is a short in wired but not likely.

SOURCE: power window failure, 1998 jetta vr6 glx, driver

Remove the little door nob thingy for lock and unlock it just screws off,, Then you have 6 Allen key bolts around the door trim, remove those. Then remove the door handle cover just pops off you may need a small flat blade screw driver. you have two big screws Philips head screws in there... Then remove your speaker cover then the speaker, then remove the speaker, then remove the speaker bracket, then lift the door panel out. The motors and the regulators for your windows are **** door man makes a good unit for them i replace all 4 of mine... They are expensive Partsgeek.com is the best price i could fine. Looked for 2 years in junk yards and posted adds for replacement parts don't wast your time its damn near impossible. cost me about 500 for the 2 front window motors and regulators and I only replaced the regulators on the back windows I think they were about 50 a peace.

1997 Buick Park Ave, passenger side and rear windows stopped working.

You say the driver window works? wouldn't be a main fuse or fusible link then -driver door locks and window wouldn't work either. Each door has a module inside (computer) . The driver door has a circuit breaker power feed an a fuse DDM fuse 10amp located in rear junction block circuit breaker is located in under hood maxi fuse block. The circuit breaker also feeds battery voltage to the other door modules too. PDM - passenger door module fuse 10amp located in the instrument panel fuse box and the RDM - rear door module RDM fuse 10amp located in the rear fuse box - under the back seat.

Each power window is connected to a permanent magnet motor. The motor raises or lowers the glass when the door module applies voltage to the motor. The direction the motor turns depends on the polarity of the supply voltage provided by the associated door module. The 2 front doors have their own separate modules. The rear seat contains a single module, which controls both of the rear power windows.
A serial digital communications link, called the simple bus interface, is used for communications between door modules and the driver's door power window switches. The use of serial digital communications allows the use of a single wire to convey switching information between the power door lock switch and the driver's door module (DDM). The serial communication is also used in order to transmit switching information from the DDM to the other 2 door modules.
The door modules apply battery voltage of the correct polarity to the respective window motor when any local, or power door lock switch, UP switch is operated, driving the window up. Battery voltage is applied to the respective window motor in the opposite polarity when any local, or power window switch, DOWN switch is operated, driving the window down.

Driver Door Module (DDM)
The driver's door module (DDM) directly controls the driver's door window motor and the express down window feature. The DDM sends window UP/DOWN messages received from the power door lock switch to the passenger door module (PDM) and to the rear door module (RDM) over the simple bus interface (SBI) line. The DDM also contains a class 2 data link which communicates with the other vehicle system modules. The left front power door locks and the outside power mirror are also controlled through the DDM.
Passenger Door Module (PDM)
The passenger door module (PDM) controls the passenger's door window motor. The PDM controls the passenger's door window directly from the right front power window switch or from instructions over the simple bus interface (SBI). The right front power door locks and the outside power mirror are also controlled through this module.
Rear Door Module (RDM)
The rear door module (RDM) controls both of the rear door window motors. The RDM controls the rear windows directly from the rear door window switches or from instructions over the simple bus interface (SBI).

2017 Toyota sienna passenger window doesn't go up and down by main driver control.

Most likely the switch
Remove, blast with air, spray with wd40, work switching motion, blast with air refit and try

The drivers door switches get the most use and abuse ie window down rain dust etc

Cleaning should work

Windows are not working roght

Put some silicone spray or dry lube in the window frame where the glass runs and this will free up the window and take the load off the motor.

Driver's window goes down but not up.

Chances are you have a bad window switch. Is it a rear or passenger window? If it is and it does not work from that door's switch it is probably the master switch in the drivers door panel. If it's the drivers door it's still gonna be in the master switch. The window motors rarely only work in one direction only. It is also possible to be the up relay.12_24_2012_4_46_56_pm.png

Rear windows won't go down

You also have Circuit Breakers for your windows, Or your Master Switch ,You can Test the Driver Control Switch or the rear switches by removing the Switches and using the connector Plug and a Jump wire try jumping accross the wires,if they go up or down you could have a Bad Switch,if nothing moves more than likely your Window Motor is bad. BUT first CHECK your Circuit Breakers ,It could be Labeled as accessery Relay or circuit Breaker.

Rear passenger window is stuck with about a quarter to half inch open. Will not go up or down.

First remove the paneling (of the door) apply electricity to the motor, it doesnt matter to witch side as they both will carry power from one time to another, if that works, try checking the main switch on the driver side door, if you can get a friend to loan you his while you check or you might have to buy one. Its either the main switch or the passengers side switch if the window goes up when direct juice is applied to it.

1998 VW Jetta GLS Manual Trans. The driver side power window won't roll down. From the same switch the front passenger window won't up but will roll down. The passenger side switch works fine; passanger...

If you have a multimeter you can go to the underside of the master panel in the drivers door and independently check the switches for voltage or with no power to the switch assembly check for continuity. Good place to start. If you get continuity to through the switch then you need to check power to the window actuators in the doors.
