SOURCE: The windows in the 95 oldsmobile cutlass ciera won't work at all

maybe the wire is severed where the door (drver dr) pivots. thats what was wrong with mine. there is a rubber boot with crinkles in it that hold all the wires together. you can also try replacing the switch board that controls the wndws on the drvr dr. hope that helps.

SOURCE: 96 Oldsmobile ciera runs great but dies randomly driving or idle

I would try replacing the ignition module located on the front of the engine where the plug wires connect. The ignition moduel is where the ignition coils them selves screw down to and a harnes plugs into.

SOURCE: '91 oldsmobile cutlass ciera starts and runs fine but dies when driving short distance, restarts and runs fine but dies after another short distance.

Hello! I need the trouble code...The vehicle is an On Board Diagnostic 1 (OBD!)...You can not use a scanner on an OBD1...See drawing below of connector under the steering wheel...Short pins A to B...Turn on the key...Don't start the engine...Light on dash will flash the code ie...4 long blinks...pause... 1 short blink=code 41...each code, if more tan one, will flash 3 times...record the code # and send it to me and I'll fix the problem....codes are all two digit... guru...saailer

Take rear lamps out of their sockets and turn on power if fuse still blows more than likely its a wire. Did you check the TAG LIGHTS, and side marker lights?

There's a running light controller under the dash next to the steering collum that cost a little over $100. It fails and it's the only way to fix it right and it might happen again too.

Dies for no reason

Need more information. Does it stall while driving or idling? Once it dies, does it have problems starting while its hot? Does it die at night when running other things such as headlights etc.?

1996 oldsmobile ciera has hole in radiator that I patched with jb weld, did not keep hole closed, later car will drive fine, until it is sit at idle or at a complete stop, the car will run hot and cut off....

well if the leak is bad enough you should just replace the radiator. A cooling system relies on positive pressure to operate correctly. All that stuff they sell such as stop leak and bars, etc is just a temporary fix. If your coolant is not able to circulate through the motor completely you will have problems, warped head, blown gaskets, no heat also. I would just go to a scrap/junk yard and find a radiator. It will be pretty cheap since it is a 96 Olds.

96 oldsmobile ciera cars been running fine going down the street and just randomly turns off??? i have no idea what this could be...i just changed all the spark plugs and wires. any help?

First you need to determine if its a fuel related problem, or an electrical problem. Does it start back up after it does this? Or do you have to wate a while and then it will start? Does it start in the morning with no problems? Is this something that just started? Or has it been happending for a while. When was the last time the fuel filter was chg.? If you can't remember its time for a new one.

No power to anything besides power windows and car runs

1st thing i would do is check fuses. when my brakelights went out it was just a fuse.
