SOURCE: How do you fix the driver side air blend door actuator?

you cannot repair the actuator you need to replace it with new one. These motors turn but get weak with time. if you test it, it works, put it in and it doesn't. this is because the motor is weak, unfortunately GM does not sell these motors separately.

SOURCE: 2005 tahoe no air blowing

SOURCE: 2005 Chevy Impala driver's side heat blows cold.

First....buy a drivers side air flow actuator at a auto parts place for dual zone heating/cooling.
(NAPA etc will have it.....or the dealer)
Open the glove compartment.....all the way....you may have to take the screws out at the bottom......look in at the heater assembly....look over to the left....you will see the two air flow actuators.
Look at the part you have and match it to the part on the heater assembly.
The actuator that is closest to the engine is the drivers side control.
Replace it.
Try your controls and check for heat and cooling on both sides.
The stepper motor in these actuators goes bad on quite a few...but over look that.....you have a great car, good for many miles of trouble free driving.

THE ELECTRIC ACTUATOR MOTOR NOT WORKING. NOT ALLOWING AIR DOOR TO OPEN SO THE AC AIR CAN CIRCULATE THROUGH THE VENTS.

2005 XG350 ac blows hot air not cold dealer installed new compresor, and belts blows 70 degree air at dash grills

A system will only drop temp about 20 degrees from outside temp. I would have then recheck the Freon level again. To much is as bad as to little when it come to Freon. Also the oil level can be to high causing the same thing. When they changed the compressor they should have also replaced the dryer and the orfice tube/screen. If that wasn't don't you could have a obstruction in line.

On our 2003 Tahoe there is a pump like squeak, umm, almost like bed springs when... Um, nevermind, when the ac power is on. Everything is working ok but sure is irritating. Seems to be getting louder.

If it is worse when reving the engine in park, your AC compressor is failing (common problem). The AC compressor, orifice tube, accumulator, belt tensioner and AC belt will need to be replaced and the AC system flushed before recharging.

1972 chevy c10

the best suggestion is to give up on replacing compressor clutches and have the system done by an accredited ac specialist shop
excessive pressure from excessive gas is hydraulicing the compressor and making the clutch slip burning it out
next flushing the system removes all of the compressor oil in the system leaving the compressor running virtually dry
next when a system is opened , moisture laden air gets in and that has to be vacuumed out for a period of 2 hours minimum or the water in the air turns to ice and blocks the tx valve
freon gas ( if that the gas that is supposed to be used as many now run r134a) is inserted ,not by the can but by the low pressure and high pressure readings on a manifold gauge designed for that purpose
I would say that by now you would have spent more money than what it would have cost you at the ac specialist shop

Will I have to replace the dryer when I replace the compressor?

NO UNLESS YOU SEE METAL CHUCKS ON THE HIGH SIDE OR LOW SIDE PORTS ON THE COMPRESSOR. IF THERE ARE METAL SHAVINGS THEN YOU WILL NEED A NEW DRIER.

Ac cycles on 92 blazer ,new compressor, low switch bad?

Did you replace the dryer, and the orifice tube?If the orifice tube was not replaced, this is most likely the problem, what are the pressures while it is running, and how much freon is in the system? If the system does not have enough freon it it,it will do this, but if it does, the cycling ac compressor is because of the orifice tube,if the system was not flushed out,and there was a new orifice tube installed ,then it is stopped up again.Let me know something so I can help.

Replacing the a/c compresser. how hard is it to replace the compresser

Replacing the AC compressor is a job in itself and normally not for the do it yourselfer. If you replace the compressor be sure to get some AC flush and flush out the system. If you buy a new or rebuilt compressor most places will not warranty the compressor unless you also change out the orfice tube or expansion valve and the accumilator. While you are tearing down all these parts be sure to replace all oring seals associated with each part. Cover the lines as you take the parts off to keep contamination out.Once you have replaced all the necessary parts and have it all back together you need to vacume the system to get all the moisture out of the system. This is crucial or you will have prmature failer of the compressor. Once you have done all this then you can charge the system with freon. As you can see it gets complicated. Hope this helped you.

2003 Tahoe (5.3). AC belt/tensioner/compressor (Chatters)

The compressor is bad. I have the same problem. Apparently none of the tahoe's compressors are worth a ****! im having to replace mine too. You have to change the compressor, the accumulator/dryer, orifice tube and flush the lines. If you look on ebay you can buy a complete kit to change it all for about 300 bucks. The dealership tells me that you need to change the fan clutch as well. They told me that the reason for the noises is the fan clutch isnt working properly and it lets the compressor get too hot causeing higher pressures in the compressor due to the heat. They called it liquid slugging I believe. Mine doesnt break the belt but when you give it very much gas it makes a squeal and then a grinding noise like your trying to put a standard transmission in gear with it running without pushing in the clutch. I asked if you could just change the fan clutch and they told me no its too late, you have to change the compressor and dryer/orifice tube.
