Flashers don't work in a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix. Don't have a book or wiring diagram to backtrace source of the possible problem.

Howdy anonymous,

Beyond the always FIRST STEP of blaming the "FLASHER"....
(see rockauto example $ below)

There immediately follows moving on out to the light bulbs and checking they (EACH & EVERY) work...

Then & only then do you start "BACK-TRACING"

I always recommend getting REAL FACTORY support documents but luckily BBB Industries has FREE documents for popular USA models: and TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS...
(foreign & domestic... (registration required... real documents))

Go to the wiring SCHEMATIC... You will find REFERENCES to both BATTERY & GROUND...

It would be really helpful to know... WORKING STATUS?

Tail lights
Brake lights
Left signal
Right signal...

If Tail lights and Brake lights work... you can
pretty much forget about BACK-TRACING altogether...

Start with your FLASHER power source and move
immediately into the "multi-contact flasher switch

Cost... Rockauto

My 2000 pontiac grand prix is smoking. I added coolant and oil. It overheats right away. What's the problem? Oh yeah...it just started doing it today.

they are known for bad head gaskets and intake gaskets, have it diagnosed at the shop and don't drive it or you can do serious damage to the engine.

I have a 2000 grand prix gtp with a radio cassette...I want a radio cd player. I went to a junk yard and found a 2000 grand prix gt with a radio cd player....I bought it (the radio cd player), can i swap...

The wires will be the same. The problem is that the radio you bought may have theftlock on it. ( it would be printed on the front). If so you don't have the code for it. there is a slight chance that it will work, probably 1 in a 100. If it doesn't and the display reads LOC not LOCK, then you can take it to a dealer and they can recode it for you. Costs about 50 dollars here. Indy
