Solenoid is engaging( the click) But starter motor isn't getting power. Check heavy cable at starter for power. If it has power there starter needs rebuilt or replaced. If no power track back to battery finding where connection lost.

I have a '93 jeep grand cherokee limited 5.2 v8.

Disconnecting your battery, as you must've done when changing the starter, will cause the ecu to revert to factory settings and the computer will have to relearn the proper idle for your jeep.

Will not start alot of turning over then you here fuel going through then it starts 93 jeep cherokee limited 5.0 v8

Your main ECU is in need of repair. Your jeep is displaying signs of the common delayed start problem. The check engine light does not light up, for a while, then when it finally does, the fuel pump gets power and it starts. Have your ecu repaired.

Jeep grand cherokee limited '96: check engine

If a warning light is on, there's a trouble code stored in the computer. There are well over 800-1,000 possible trouble codes in the average late model vehicle, so asking us to guess what's causing your problem without knowing the code is a complete waste of time. Get the code read. Post it here. THEN we can help

You'll need an OBD I code reader or similar reader to pull the codes. You can purchase from autozone or online.

Will not start when key is turned, it just clicks

The battery might not have enough juice. Try jump-starting it, try hitting the starter with something while its being cranked. It is possible you bought a bad starter since I don't know who you got it from.
