2002 Nissan frontier Tried getting TDC but when I turned crank pulley by hand distributor rotor did not move. It was just idling when it died. Like it ran out of gas. Could distributor be broken and not move with timing belt intact?

I have a nissan murano 2005 with the code p1701 and a p0340 how can i use them to repair these codes

Nissan Murano P0340 2005 Nissan Murano - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit
Possible causes- Faulty Camshaft Position Sensor-
Camshaft Position Sensor harness is open or shorted- Camshaft Position Sensor circuit poor electrical connection- Faulty starter motor- Starting system circuit-
Dead (Weak) battery
P1701- Fuel trim

I would suggest replacing the camshaft position sensor. When the sensor fails it can cause changes in fuel system that the computer can detect. So I suspect once the camshaft sensor ivreplaced that the P1701 code will be gone.

2002 pt cruiser Camshaft Sensor

change the crankshaft positon sensor in the rear of the engine above the oilfilter. Also check the wiring to this sensor, they have a problem shorting out. You have to change the camshaft and crankshaft sensors at the same time. Make sure you give your car a major tune up. Did you check yor starter?.........runjoe
