The best way is you get a $7.95 harness conversion kit from Crutchfield with the radio, so you just plug them in, car plug to Alpine plug. Also, don't forget that many units are monitored and operated by the BCM although a 2003 is probably too old.

did you reinstall the seat and reconnect the wires ? remove the positive terminal to the battery and after a few minutes reconnect it this should remedy the issue

Did you change the plug under the dash on the passenger side?
