Will bad bearings on the tire assembly cause the abs and slip lights to come on along with loud noise

Sounds like over active ABS. is it possible that one of the bearings you installed is defective? Where the axle nuts tightened to the proper spec. Have you checked for play on the new front bearings? Otherwise you will need a high end scan tool to monitor wheel speed data from the abs module. It will be fairly easy to see what speed sensor is dropping out and causing the aver active abs to occurs.

I would suspect you have a bad wheel hub (bearing) assembly. The bearings will roar/growl when they start to go bad. I've seen the bearings actually disappear from the hubs because it got so bad. Also, the ABS light will come on when the bearings go bad. I would take it to a mechanic before it gets any worse. BTW, GMs are known to have wheel hubs go bad.

YEP BAD WHEEL BEARING WILL MAKE A ROARING LIKE NOISE WHILE IN MOTION.BAD WHEEL COULD PUT DRAG ON WHEEL WHICH CAUSE ABS LIGHT TO COME ON.YOUR WHEEL BEARING HAS THE WHEEL SPEED SENSOR BUILT INTO IT.SO IF WHEEL BEARING BAD THE WHEEL SPEED SENSOR PART OF ABS BRAKE SYSTEM WILL CAUSE ABS LIGHT TO COME ON IF WHEEL BEARING BAD.MAKE SURE FRONT BRAKE PADS INSTALLED CORRECTLY IF NOT. YOU WILL GET TERRIBLE WHEEL NOISE ALSO.

The wheel bearing needs to be replaced (hub assembly) Its dangerous.

I replaced the hub bearing assembly on drivers side twice and the light stayed on and the brakes worked fine. It was the wires (visible just above the tire on the frame) that rubbed against the frame that had shorted out. It was simply repaired and clip-stripped up out of the way. The light has been off every since then.

Ok, there are sensors on your front wheel hubs. This could easily cause the abs light to turn on. The loud noise could easily be your wheel hub going bad. Easiest way to check, jack up the front of the truck, grab tire, shake back and forth and up and down. Same amout of play each way? You're wheel hub is bad.......

humming noise usually comes from wheel bearings. did you change that with a new bearing? also choppy or worn tires can cause humming noise that sounds like bad wheel bearings. rotate your tires and see if the noise changes. if so its tires. also even if it sounds like its from the right it could very well be a bad bearing in another location.

Just a thought ....... check for uneven tire pressure , or different tire sizes.

Id get a mechanic to look at it. Sounds like a rear end bearing problem. Axle bearings pumpkin bearings.

hi there it sounds to me like the brake calipar is either loose or the brake pad has separated and if this happens it will also damage the abs sensor
