Limp mode stops when the problem that caused it is repaired, which you have not done yet, whatever you did was not the problem that forced the vehicle into limp home mode keep doing the diagnostics and fix it right.

We are talking about the 2006 Subaru? They don't have 3 digit OBD2 fault codes.

2006 Ford Mustang V6 4.0. It is throwing P0106 and P2195 codes.

you have addressed most of the things that cause these codes

MAP Sensor (as opposed to MAF)
P0106 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance O2 Sensor P2195 O2 Sensor Signal Stuck Lean When the O2 sensor reports lean, it is dumping extra fuel which causes carbon fouling. This takes a while to burn off or you can use an 'Extreme Clean' type fuel system cleaner.

My 2006 ford five hundred went into limp mode and won't come out. I bought a used computer from junk yard but need to get it flashed. PM

Why would you just buy a used computer instead of reading the codes with a scan tool and fixing the issues that put it into Limp Mode. It is often something as simple as replacing a $18 sensor. Your ECU needs programming with VIN Number and the mileage so you need an auto-electrician anyway.

Rough idle is probably a throttle body and MAF that needs cleaning or they may have failed. It may also be the Throttle Position Sensor. Limp Mode keeps you in first and 3,000 rpm. Limp Mode only saves you from damaging the engine. Get it on a pro grade scan tool computer in a repair shop.

2006 hhr loses power. restarting resets power.

Does it lose power or go to limp mode. (second gear)? Being in limp mode makes it feel like it loses power. Takes of slow and does change gears. Have the codes read. Turning it off just resets the computer until it realises something is wrong.

Limp mode reset

limp mode means something is broken, with
PCM or TCM. (bad sensors or actuators)
resetting PCM.
1: press reset on scan tool.
2: pull memory fuse to ECU.
3: pull battery neg lug and radio bricks and need to do relearn modes. on many things.

if the problem remains, resetting it does nothing, it come back fast.

2006 subaru outback check engine light and cruise control light blinking

after this mileage the probable cause is the smoke sensor in exhaust it has to be replced and the error should be cleared by car scaner if you don't want to replace the sensor you can clean it it is located on the exhauste pipe but however you still need to visit a car technician to clear the fault from the computer log of the car

heres the sad part of electronic controlled engines. i had a problem with my olds cutlass . one day it needed an egr, week later it needed an 02 sensor, few days later it needed a vss sensor.....................after talking to a QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN ~ i bought the 100 dollar ecm (brain) and the problems all went away. the ecm was bad and was giving out a different code everyday.
if yours went into limp home mode ( your chipset is loose or bad) wires to ecm can be loose / dirty or wet / an electrical spike zapped something in the ecm lots of possible problems. my camaro only goes into limp home mode when i take out my chip, or when someone kicks the ecm. of course i program my own chips, and leave the ecm sitting on the passenger floor. it sounds like you have a microchip problem on your ecm, making it go into limp mode
