Doesn't have DRL module . Has The daytime running lamp (DRL) relay controlled by the BCM .
Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Relay
In the Underhood Fuse Block
On some earlier production vehicles, the DRL will turn OFF when the turn signal lamps are activated. This is controlled by the BCM and is a normal condition. The daytime running lights operate when the following conditions are present:
• The ignition switch is in the ON position.
• The headlamp switch is in the AUTO or PARK position.
• The park brake is released.
• The automatic transmission is shifted out of the PARK position (if equipped).
• The ambient light sensor senses a daylight condition.
When all conditions are present the body control module (BCM) will turn the daytime running lights ON.

Where is drl light module located on 00 savanna van

The DRL (daytime running lights) module on a 2000 Savannah van is typically located under the hood, near the front of the vehicle. It may be mounted to the inner fender, the firewall, or another nearby location. In some cases, it may be necessary to remove a panel or access cover in order to locate the DRL module.
To find the DRL module, you may want to consult the owner's manual for your vehicle, as it should have detailed information on the location of various components. You can also try searching online for more specific information about the location of the DRL module on your particular model of Savannah van. If you are unable to locate the DRL module, or if you are unsure of how to access it, you may want to consider seeking the assistance of a mechanic or automotive technician.

You may have misunderstood the part he spoke of are you sure he meant the ECM or did he mean the ignition control module? Bring the car to an Auto Zone and have them check for trouble codes, they check them for free and you can google OBD II trouble code then your year make and model and the code.
