It is believed that the Tomtom lead, which was permanently plugged in to the cigarette lighter, has caused the battery to drain, when the engine is not running. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Have the car's computer scanned. When the check light comes on, it sets a code that won't clear until it's actively reset. Post that code or codes here and we can help you.

The fan quit working on the heater,,fuse is not blown, this happened last year to and they put a new motor in

your fan receives a certain amount of power that is usually dumbed down by a resistor( a coil inside of ceramic), in most cases that resistor blows, and on some occasions "hi" setting will still work but not in all cases. im pretty sure last time i had one replaced it was about $80 at the garage but im not sure if that included labor or not

i would start by checking the idle air control valve. it may be called something else on a merc but basically it its a solenoid that controls the amount of air entering the throttlebody when at idle they tend to get sticky and slow when they are on there way out. hope that helps, i dont know if it is the answer but it is certainly worth looking at. let me know how you go

Have 9.3 saab 2lt Low turbo petrol, fan for heater in cab works great but when I stop and turn engine off fan carrys on running? have to remove fuse every night, any ideas please

usually when the fan stays on is for a certain amount of time to allow cooling off the engine but if it goes on and not going off there has to be some kind of a short or another wire allowing that to happen without shutting off

Heater fan only works on one speed

if the mercedes heater fan works like most cars there is a resister module that would need to be replaced.
