Check for pressure at the back of the filter. If pressure is there, check after the filter. If no pressure before the filter, replace pump. If there is pressure before but not after the filter, replace filter.

2000 galant getn fire to plugs fuel pump runs all time motor rotates but no start

Do you have fuel injector pulse? Try spraying starting fluid into the engine air intake, if it starts you have no injector pulse and thus no fuel delivery to the cylinders.

My 2000 mitsubishi galant does not start up easily in d morning or when l park it for a long time but once it starts for the day and the car is in use it starts up easily.

Your problem may be one of the following:
First check or just replace the fuel filter. Usually located under the car in front of the rear axle, drivers side.
Next, the fuel pump may be worn out. Usually they get loud or stop working (running).
Next, check the fuel pressure regulator. Usually located on the front fuel rail, drivers side.
Is the vacuum line attached? Not leaking or rotted?
Also, do you smell a strong fuel odor when it won't start? May be one or more stuck-open injectors, or the coil pack is bad.
Checking these in the order listed will more than likely fix your problem.
The clicking noise indicates the battery can no longer run the starter, which also means the fuel pump won't run either.

It could be a fuel issue. How old is the fuel filter? Can you hear the pump run for a few seconds when you turn the key on? Try turning the key to ON without trying to start engine three times waiting for the pump to stop running each time. Then try to start the engine. If it starts, Its a form of Vapor lock caused by the extreme heat we have had lately, and a weak fuel pump.

If none of this works, try a new fuel filter first. From there have someone check the fuel pressure regulator and then the pump. If you are in need of a new pump, take my word for it and spend the money to get one from a Dealer, and not from your favorite parts store. Most parts store parts are made in China and they are JUNK.

For about a week my 2001 galant es v6 would not start right away. After 4 or 5 times it would turn over and stay running after i gave it gas. I went to start it today, it started but didnt want to turn...

YOU NEED A LITTLE TUNE UP.REPLACE FUEL FILTER, REPLACE AIR FILTER,CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS.REPLACE SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES.IF ENGINE STILL SHAKE YOU COULD HAVE FUEL PUMP OR FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR PROBLEMS.

1995 galant died the other day wasn't getting any fuel replaced the fuel pump the works but car still wont start

You need three things to run: spark, fuel, compression (timing). Check for spark simple, check for fuel (crank over engine and pull spark plugs, is fuel on them? ) if not rent noid lights from Autozone or such to check upon injector pulse. If nothing let me know and we'll look further in to it.

Best regards,
Tom

What can i do? my galant is blowing black smoke at my tail pipe

Black smoke is indicative of a car running rich meaning more fuel than can be burned is entering the cylinder. Some causes of this condition are a bad fuel pump, a bad PCM, and more likely a leaking injector. Check the oil to make sure there is no raw fuel smell present. Look at the injectors first as this is a common cause of the problem.

Fuel injector/timingbelt

absolutely nothing at all... if the timing belt wasnt installed properly it would bend valves or run rough.. but NOT have a thing to do with fuel injection system
