I have a 2010 chevy impala the battery is completely dead i need to get into my trunk but cant open trunk with key and i dont think my back seats open to trunk

You can trash the trunk lock or removing the back seat to see if it opens into the trunk.
And if you cannot open the trunk lock with a key you better consider getting a new lock and key combo.

charge battery and try release ----or with the key access push down on the trunk when turning key ----remove rear seats yours dont fold but can be removed
Not to be smart, but have you tried the key? You said you have a box in the trunk, it could be that you have upward pressure on the trunk lid jamming the latch, Have someone push down on the trunk and then hit the buttons to open it, I hope that will work for you
If the doors are open,drop the back right seat back, & crawl into trunk & pull the yellow release tab
OBD2 Vehicles do not use the lighter for battery voltage, that was obd 1 systems ,the power is in the diagnostic connecter by your right knee,need adapter to use battery KAM memory back -up
The seat may only be released from the trunk--.have to check my 2004 LS
I believe you've hopefully managed to get into your car by now... In any case, you can use the key from your fob to get into the car (( Yes, the old fashioned way!! ))...
First up, you need to take the key out of the Fob (( obviously )).. In the driver/passenger side of the car, on the handle, to the right corner (( beyond the part which comes out when you pull the handle )) that Silver part on the door handle actually comes off!! Dont worry, you can pop it back in, you will not damage it...
To get that small silver part open/pop-out, you can insert the key from UNDER the handle, to the right corner again... there is a small hole big enough for the key from the fob to go in, use that slot to pop out the small silver part, and voila! You get to see the normal key hole, where you use the same key and turn it to open the door!!
With the battery dead, I do not think you can open the trunk (( dont think there are any secret entry points in the trunk, i've not found any :) )), but you can get access from the back seat... (( Keep the jump start cables near the back seat :) ))
If back seats fold down like my 2003 Impala, you should be able to access trunk through back seat. There is an emergency release in the trunk to open trunk lid
if the doors and trunk are vacuumed operated, make sure all the doors are unlocked..this might make it easier to open the trunk..or get the car running and then try to open the trunk with the car running..turn key all the way to the left and push slowly in..I think it is vacuum operated like the mercedes
