SOURCE: pumping fuel into the car takes forever ,and gas backflows
Fuel Backing up in the fill nozzle is most often caused by a restricted fuel tank vent line. This vent line runs from the tank to a charcole filter that stores the tank vapors while still allowing air to pass. It is typically located in the engine compartment. Look for a pinched hose first in the engine compartment. Typical hose diameter is 10 mm or less. If you have had recent work done on the car in the fuel tank area, this also may have resulted in the line being pinched or rerouted in error.
good luck
SOURCE: 1997 diesel suburban steering goes left
I doubt it's your 4x4. Most transfer case will start turning the front driveshaft, meaning that BOTH front wheels would try to turn.
Could be a brake pad/caliper locking up on your left wheel. That'll make that wheel turn slower resulting in the veering left.
Could also be a wheel bearing. However usually you'll hear a grinding noise to go along with that. And it'll pull rather consistently in that direction rather than suddenly.
Or, what first comes to mind is that your steering box is loose, or the gear inside the steering box is stripped in one spot. Or your front tie rods could be shifting or possibly ball joints. These would cause a sudden shifting/veering.
All of these things are front end related. And also very dangerous. Take it down to any alignment shop, have them put it on a lift, and diagnose immediately.
Worse case scenerio is that a front end part breaks and sends you out of control and into someone else. Please get it checked. A diesel Suburban could do a lot of damage.
SOURCE: drivers side power seat and steering column don't work
i think the seat control unit controls both items. check the connections at this unit to see if they are still securely attached to the unit.
i didn't know your exact model as i could not find the 08 528i and didn't know if yours was LH or RH drive. take a look at the pic and look for box #1 under the seat.

SOURCE: Gasoline pump at gas station keeps turning off
There is a vent valve located near the fuel tank. The vent valve is part of the EVAP emission system. If the valve is obstructed or failed, air will not escape while refueling.
Has the service engine light come on at all?

SOURCE: when turning steering wheel to left very hard to turn
Sounds like the begining of a bad rack n pinion. We can eliminate the pump because the car turns to the right fine. There is no loss of fluid? The only thing left is the rack. It is a fairly commin issue. Use to call it morning sickness, The cars would be hard to turn in the morning or when first started but after running and warming up for a while they would start to work properly.
