SOURCE: my nissan pathfinder 2001 slows down while driving

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR IS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. OR IT MAY HAVE AN EXCESS OF CARBON ON THE THROTTLE PLATE AND BORE. REMOVE THE AIR INDUCTION HOSE GOING TO THE THROTTLE BODY AND SPRAY IT ON THE INSIDE WITH CARB AND CHOKE CLEANER, WHILE ABSORBING THE FLUID WITH A CLOTH RAG. PAPER RAGS COME APART, AND GET SUCKED INTO THE BODY AND CAUSE DAMAGE. AN OLD TOOTHBRUSH WORKS WELL AT DISLODGING THE CARBON. IF THE CLEANING DOESN'T HELP, THEN REPLACE THE T.P.S.. HOPE THIS HELPS. BEST OF LUCK.THANK YOU FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED.

SOURCE: 1984 nissan pickup fuel pump relay location

If it's like mine, the relay is located on the passenger side fender wall. You should see a set of 5 relays together. It is the first one in the back.

1992 Nissan Pathfinder, where is the fuel cut off switch?

Nissan does not have a inertia switch like a Ford of the era did. If you are getting the signal to the fuel pump relay and it is sending power to the tank, but the pump doesn't run, replace the pump.

1993 Nissan Pathfinder fuel-pump not getting power despite changing fuses. Problem has happened before & mechanic who repaired that said he just changed fuses & that solved the problem. Please help

If it is blowing fuses, it has not been 'fixed'-the fuel pump is drawing more current than the circuit was designed to handle, pointing to two possiblilties, either a fault in the wiring harness to the pump, or the pump itself is drawing too much current duo to wear possibly overheating due to running the tank low-gas 'cools' the fuel pump so running a tank low is often fatal to a fuel pump, especially an older one. You might try switching the fuel pump relay with one that is not used as much (like an ABS or horn relay) to see if it makes any difference, but you probably will need to plan a fuel pump replacement in the near future.

Hello, do I need to depressurized the fuel system on my 1990 pathfinder before i change the fuel filter and if so,how? thank you. Sorry about my English.

if you can find it, take the fuel pump relay out and try to start it up. it may start and stall. thats ok, OR just loosen the pipe at the filter slowly, the gas will leak out, then it will be ok to remove the filter.
