White smoke usually means burning coolant in combustion chamber and lots of it is not good. Check for oil in radiator coolant reservoir. If oil is present your engine is bad.

Hi to all.I am thinking of buying a 2nd hand 2013 Suzuki APV SGX 1.6l Automatic with 19,000km mileage only. Everything is tiptop but when the engine is on, very visible white smoke comes out from tailpipe...

Is this your first car, or first year driving in winter?
are you in USA or canada? (we are a USA forum here so???)
if yes, Suzuki is chapter 11, here and getting many parts are a PAIN.
big pain. dont buy SUzuki cars. , in N.America. bingo !
but my guess you are not here, in USA or N.America
but are far from here, right? km is canada or outside here.

and x2 never buy smoking engines.
(i do but for dirty cheap and fix em)

white smoke smells like burning smoke, RUN,, lingers.long time it does.
Fast dissipated smoke, (it's not smoke sorry!)
is steam it's normal all cars do that and more cold, weather. all fuels burns to water as a byproduct of combustion, but will smell like exhaust only. (carbon and exh. smell, all very normal)
but if the steam continues, and smells of antifreeze and nasty
sweet smel,l RUN.

buy a Nissan. or Honda. never any Suzuki ever.
the question is ,where next will they go bankrupt. hummmmmmmmmmm

Why is it that my multicab sometimes emits white smoke and gone after a minute and with burned engine oil smell?

Blue smoke is oil, white smoke steam or trans mission fluid. Check that auto fluid not going up a vacuum line if it has a modulator.

Mitsibushi pajero oil light time

White SWEET smelling smoke, or white OILY smelling smoke? If it's white thick SWEET smelling smoke, you have a blown head gasket - that's the smell of antifreeze burning in the engine, which it should NEVER do. If it's white OILY smelling smoke (smells a lot like diesel), then you're getting too much fuel into the cylinders.

If it's sweet-smelling smoke (antifreeze), pull the oil dipstick & check the oil level. If the oil level is HIGH and the oil looks like a mocha milkshake, that's absolutely conclusive - that's what happens when antifreeze gets into your oil, and it's nasty corrosive to engine parts.

I'm not at all surprised that the oil light is on if it won't start - you won't get much oil pressure until the engine is running.

My suzuki F6 multicab emits black smoke what is the possible problems? It consumes more fuel than before.

If not fix after tune up... ask the mechanics for the condition of the piston rings? the smoke might be an oil mix up on the fuel due to piston rings problems...

This what had happened to my multicab recenlty...

Whenever I start the car it smokes than after warming up it stops smoking.

The key is how much smoke? Does the smoke have a smell to it. Are you consuming any fluids, like coolant, or oil?

Tons White smoke that is sweet smelling is usually coolant getting into the combustion chamber.

Less white smoke, especially if other cars are doing it, is normal. For every gallon of gas that you burn, you generate a gallon (GALLON) of water. so this water usually evaporates, but sometimes not. It has little or no smell.

If the smoke is bluish white, that is oil, but usually your converter would fill with oil, and cause error codes, or loss of power. This smell is distinct, but not necessarily sweet.... After the converter heats up, it may be able to burn off the oil and the smoke stops.

What are you consuming, fluid wise, will direct where you go next.
