Yes this could be caused by the Nissan NATS system. Your keys may need to be initilized for the car. Is the SECURITY light on steady, or is it flashing?? Check it. If its steady, than the NATS locked you out and you will not start the car. If its flashing, than NATS should be all set and the car should start. MAke sure, that you are using initilized keys.

What runs the daytime lights, dash warning lights, and fuel pump. these seem to be the factors of why my truck only cranks but doesnt start.

Check all fuses and relay fuses. Then "crack" the fuel line to the injectors and crank to see if fuel is present. If fuel pressure is present, check for spark (Ensure no spilt fuel is around) by cranking with plug lead shorted off the spark plug.

I assume you checked the fuel pressure and it is normal.
Are the spark plugs getting spark when it fails to start ?
Are you getting injector pulse from the computer ?
Any trouble codes stored in the computer ?

1999 range rover se changed fuel pump, truck still wont start, relays and fues look good.

why you have replaced the Fuel pump? who advised you to do so?
be guided as follow 1. on the Engine Side on the top there is a fuel rail for the injectors. turn the ign. key to the second position (on) and check the valve located on the fuel rail if fuel is coming pressurized and still won't work. then open on of the spark plugs wires and check if spark is there. (Be Careful doing that). if no spark then is there any message comes up on the Dash? if not messages then you can check the Crank Sensor if no current being generated from the ign. coils.

I have a 2002 Sierra Truck. The battery is good.

Do you have crank no start?
Do you have no crank no dash lights nothing?

Items to check out Battery and battery cables (Load test battery and make sure cables are clean and tight especially the B+ cable off the starter).
Listen to the cranking speed of the starter. Does it sound normal or slow? Depending on what you hear you may want to do a starter current draw test or have a shop do it for you.
If all of the above are a-ok then move onto fuel and ignition checks. AT THIS POINT YOU SHOULD HAVE CRANK NO START.
When you put the key into the ignition and turn it to on position do you hear the fuel pump buzz?
No buzzing sound ... you could have either a bad fuel
pump or relay. Either way the vehicle is going to a shop for further diagnosis and repair.

Unscrew a spark plug attach it to its wire and ground its electrode . Crank engine and look for spark.
No spark! Now check plug wires and coil. How? Use shop manual for correct testing procedure .
If no spark is found coming from the coil then check B+ coming from battery to coil and ignition module.
Lastly not likely , ignition switch should not be left out of the equation. Your gonna need the shop manual for that test procedure. Good luck

2002 Nissan Sentra turns over but will not start

pull one of the coils out of the eng and attach the sparkplug and check for spark. if you don';t have any spark i suggest replacing the crank sensor. if you hae spark check for fuel pump activation. last and most unlikely ecm failure
