I had the same problem. I had corrosion on the connector on top of my transmission that leads down to the starter. I cleaned it out the rust , etc. Never had the problem again! Hope thats your fix.

Check your starter. They can run down a battery when car is shut off, have it checked.

the small purple wire will go to the small terminal on the starter. there should be 3-4 other wires that attached to the large terminal of the starter.

unbolt the two bolts, that hold starter to engine unhook the two wires from it then replace with new onw. you should unhook the battery first

you could be looking at wiring problem, clean all connections, check the park neutral switch also, and make sure the starter is getting a good ground, clean the mount surface

Locating the starter

Locate the battery. Follow the black (negative) lead from the battery and it will take you to the starter. It is a cylindrical unit in the engine block with around 4 wires attached.

Removal is easy, wires off and just 3-4 bolts and slide it out.

Yes it could be but first check and see if you are getting power to the starter.This will be the purple wire at the starter.Hope this helps.Good luck.

you just found your problem. the main wire or hot wire is the one which kicks up the starter when the key is turned.
