The TCM is located on top of the transmission right below the exhaust tubing that wraps around to the back. There is a wiring harness with an 8 mm bolt on top of the TCM
the rear hubs on a front wheel drive car are removed in the same manner as a rear wheel drive car with no front wheel drive

This is such a common problem, I should cut & paste the reply. There are two fixes, unrelated: 1) clean the ground connection that is shared between the starter and TCM. (99% of the time this fixes it.) 2) replace the brake switch on the pedal... it is slow to return to full open and causes the fault to trigger in the TCM and limp mode. Your TCM and AT are fine!!! Take a deep breath let out a sigh of relief!
The differential is located between the two back wheels (rear wheel drive) or the two front wheels (front wheel drive). It is a big bulbous looking thing in the middle of the axle. The differential holds the gears that send power from the drive shaft to both wheels and allows them to rotate at different speeds.
