SOURCE: How do you put rear window back on track for 2005 Highlander?

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Pull back the weather seal and you can access the window and the track. You may need to purchase some new replacement clips that secure the window onto the track.

SOURCE: My 2005 toyota highlander power windows for one of

If all your other windows are working it must be a loose connector at the power window regulator. You have to remove the door trim and check the connector. If there is a water leak it could have cause damage to the window regulator itself or cause corrosion in the connector

The back driver side window is down and will not come up. The child safety lock is off. Can a fuse be responsible for one window? You mentioned a bar on the window that will keep the window open

Start the vehicle, hit the up button on that door JUST AS you give the door a hard WHACK.It may take more than one try but the window should go back up.

2005 toyota highlander transfer case removal information what is too be removed other than axles, steering sway bar engine mount ect...

Most likely, you missed a hidden bolt. There aren't pins or clips that hold these on. If it is tight against the transmission, it is a bolt. If it slides back a bit and the gap is they same all the way around, then there is possibly a clip on the shaft inside of it. Pry the T case off. Caution though. If you can pry it open some, But it will not stay or it won't open the same all way around, you missed a bolt. Do not pry it loose, you will break the T case housing.

Would it be harmful to trim the back edge of the interior sunroof panel down a little?

I can't think of any reason why it would. It's just an interior panel. Watch what you are doing and it should be fine

I have a 2005 mazda mpv the pasanger side sliding door does not latch it mooves freely it is manual

You need to see if the latch bar ( curved metal piece that holds onto the strike bolt ) is in the closed position - if so, you'll need a helper to open it. You should also check to see if it is lubricated, which can keep it from latching.
When you look into the latch assembly, you should see a clear pathway for the striker bolt to enter the assembly. If there is a bar ( or hook ) blocking it, then you can use a flat blade screwdriver to move it to the open position. Insert the screwdriver into the latch assembly where you can pry on the inside of the hook, using the body of the door for leverage. position your screwdriver and then have your helper pull ( or push ) the outside door button / handle as you apply a small amount of pressure to the inside of the hook - the hook should easily slide out of the way. If it is hard to move, you'll need to spray some lubrication into the latch assembly. You can buy a can of white lithium grease in a spray can that will do the job.
There is a certain angle you'll need to pry in to get the latch to open - you may need to place the blade of the screwdriver through the hook and on the outside edge of the door or outside edge of the latch assembly, then gently push the screwdriver handle towards the outside of the van as the handle/ button is used.
Hope this helps!!

Toyota highlander window opens by itself

You don't mention HOW she "puts the window back up" - does the power window work OK when raising or lowering the window.
There may a short circuit causing the window motor to turn on.
Let me know if the window operates normally sometimes; and whatever information or description you might have.

Fuse or relay for rear windows

Not a car expert but have a lot of experience working on my cars over 30 years.

Just a few suggestions---if rear only and vehicle has safety child locks on rear doors (a slide bar down under back edge) that will stop windows in rear from opening no matter what control is used.

Another common issue I have had is the master button panel on driver door can fail partly--power goes there and then to rear windows---can be tested but usually have to replace entire button unit to know.

A relay is remotely possible but not likely unless they are in the door and two went bad.

Most vehicles I have seen have only one fuse or power source for all four or more windows.

Again, not a expert in this area but saw this and figured some advice is better than no advise.

The child lock feature for rear doors usually disables the windows as well and is easy to miss.
