I have a 98 bonneville se. the blower fan only comes on when the knob is all the way up and it ONLY blows heat and absolutely no cold also the air only blows out the defroster and the floor

I tested the ac system and it all checked out. is there any way this could be the control switch in the dash since it affects every aspect on the climate control system?

How did you test the A/C system ? Hook up gauge manifold , test A/C pressures ? Manual or automatic climate control ? The blower motor only working on high means the blower motor resistor is bad ! Did you hook up a scan tool an check high an low pressure switchs inputs to the PCM - engine computer . Does the A/C compressor clutch engage ? turning on the compressor ? Moving the mode switch does nothing . Doesn't move from floor to vent to defrost ? Probably the mode door actuator ! Don't think the HVAC control panel is bad . Just a few little things . Pushing the A/C button on the control panel just send a electrical signal to the PCM , the PCM will energize the A/C clutch relay , turning on the compressor .

No heat / heater not working

not blowing air or when switch is on blows cold air when you have climate control knob turned over to heat? it could be a switch or blower motor or fuse if its not blowing any air. if its blows cold air when knob is on heat then is can be thermostat or low on coolant or it could be climate control module or it could be a air filter in dash.

98 bonneville , blower only blows cold air , replaced control head and thermostat, heater core is good , there is hot air at the blower motor

This is usually caused by a control door inside the housing for the heater. Sometimes pens or other obstacles go down the defroster vents and block the doors. Lay on the floorboard while someone controls the heat and vent controls. You should be able to see the arms controlling the vents and heat. You may have to remove the lower dash covers to gain access to see these controls. Also check to see if there are any engine vacuum leaks. The heater and vent controls are ran by vacuum sometimes.

98 dodge stratus air conditioning and heater not working.

need more info? Heater blowing cold air? Heater not blowing at all? If neither heat or air are blowing then it's just the blower fan. Easy to replace and fairly cheap.

The fan will not blow out air at all. It use to

It could be a bad resistor for your fan motor. Possibly a bad ground. You'll have to get behind the dash and look around. You can test the resistor with a multimeter or just an ohm meter. To make sure you've got a good ground make sure none of the wires coming off of the blower motor are loose or severely corroded/damaged.

A/C and Heater will not blow air..

Blower motor resistor is most common ($20-$70) it controls the blower motor fan and speeds or fan relay fuse (usually under the hood) If it's not either then the blower itself is bad. You can pull the motor and apply 12volts to it to test, if it spins then the resistor.

Ac or heat wont blow

Needs a blower motor resistor if the fan only blows on one speed. It is located underneath the firewall on the outside, near where the passenger exhaust system is. You need to take the passenger side cat converter off to get to it.
