First off you have something draining your battery, something is staying on when you turn off your key, this is called a draw,Good Luck check for the dome light staying on after you turn off the car etc.#2 you might have a blown head gasket, check your water level, and check for water in your oil it might look like brown or white foam.stick you finger in the end of your exhaust pipe feel for wet nasty stuff.you could also just have a thermostat not working!

First your intellegent because your asking for help before you let the garage eat you alive.can you remove your alternator and have it tested at your local parts store? this would be a good next step.

You need to know why the battery went dead. It is usually a bad charging situation. It could be loose alternator belt, bad alternator, or a short draining everything. A quick way to check is to turn on the headlights after you have it started.
At idle the lights should be a little dimmer than when you rev the engine. If always dim, then the alternator is probably shot.

You should have fixed the oil leak. It could have started a fire, and is cheap to fix. If there is noise now, you may have ruined the engine by running out of oil. Check the oil.

I have a 2001 holden commodore with car alarm to press when turning on the car, I have recently purchased a new battery for this particular model. I have had this battery for over  3weeks and during this time maybe once or twice the car won't start? i have to give a few attempts before it will actually start again. Not sure if this is a battery problem or just a tuning problem/
when attempting for the next time i want to use the car it clicks like the battery is dead then i have to take key out and try it again maybe 3-4 times before i can get it started is this a battery problem or a alternator i don't know can someone help here.

The reason your battery is dying is because your alternator is dead. When alternators go out they sometimes stay in a position that will drain the battery even when the car is off. The alternator is also responsible for charging the battery when the car is running.

The reason your car is smoking is because where ever the oil leak is, it's pooling somewhere under hood. When the engine gets hot enough, the pool of oil starts to boil and smoke as it evaporates.

Oil is VERY important to your engine. If you have a bad leak, it's going to cause other engine problems very quickly. Find the source of the leak and fix it. Your car will also stop smoking.

My 2000 Nissan Maxima will not start-no clicking, just dead. The battery was tested and is good.

You probably need a new starter. Try locating the starter and hit on it 2 or 3 times, then try starting the vehicle again......If it starts then you need a new starter.

My 95 maxima was just cuttn out on me and would go dead but usually move battery cables a little and it would crank, however we changed cable ends on battery, crank it and dtove doen the road, it went dead...

Battery went dead? If this is the case you probably have a dead short.Should pull starter possibly bad solinoid, My old Maxima had caused me similar issue, if you pull starter it usually can be tested at a local Auto parts store. In a vehicle that fails to start, the common problems are the starter solenoid and the starter motor. The starter assembly can be quickly pulled from a 1995 Nissan Maxima, and then can be further separated to replace one part of the starter assembly. The process does not require any special tools, and can be done by novice mechanics

I have a 1998 Nissan Maxima GLE, engine was replaced with a 1998 SE engine. Since then, I have been having problems starting. I get a boost and once I move the car and park it, it won't start again....

there is a problem with your iginition timing. it is most probably overly advanced. have an experienced mechanic check your ignition timing. the mechanic should check the distributor, camshaft, and crankshaft timings.

I have a 95 nissan Maxima In June i got a new alternator put in. About @ months ago the brake light and battery light keeps flashing on and off every so often. What could this be?

Often when you lose an alternator its because the battery is too weak. Then systems start failing everwhere. Have the battery tested, chances are its got a dead cell in and you'll want to change it asap or it will cause damage to alot of relays and sub systems.

95 Nissan Maxima with fuel injection issue.

Could be battery, starter or coolant sensor.

It is hard to understand / get across engine noises with words so difficult to diagnose over the net but try to push start the car and let me know if it starts ok with a push. Also, maybe try a jump start, preferably using a circuit protector if you have one.
Let me know results of the above.
