ABS light on Flashing 4wd 2005 Ford Escape

My abs light came on on the highway then my 4wd flashes on and off. It seems both are disabled. if i turn in a parking lot it feels as if the 4wd engages both lights turn off but the abs engages as i first step on the break. after 60 seconds or so the lights come back on and the brake returns to normal with abs off. I am guessing it is a sensor on the differential or something. Anyone have this problem before and what was the fix?

Yes my 2005 did the same thing. broken cv ring was the problem. $70 i bought a new cv axle drivers side front and in an hour it was in and in a 1/4 mile testdrive the lights were gone.

2005 Ford Escape - have awd. When i encounter bad roads, the 4wd light flashes. It resets it self when i shut off the ignition; however my abs light has never come on and their were no error codes o

Usually it means there is a component of the system that is not working. It could be a sensor or mechanical problem.
You'll probably need to take it to a dealer or major shop to get it tested.

2006 Ford Escape XLT. Anytime the vehicle gets in any mud, snow, or ice, it immediately starts flashing the 4WD indicator light.

Sounds like you may have a broken abs tone ring on the front axle shafts they have a problem with that start there

My wife has a 2007 Ford Escape The ABS light comes on and off while the 4WD light flashes less often. It does need breaks as there is a grinding sound when you stop. What does the 4WD flashing mean

there is a steel ring with cogs on it that engages the ABS they crack .You need it on a lift to see, they are behind the rotor its a $37 part but a lot of labor

2005 ford escape. The ABS light is on and 4x4 flashing

You need to remove your tyres and clean the abs sensors well enough.

You might also change your brrake pads if they have gone bad.
