Are you loosing radiator fluid. sometimes the heater core will rupture and you will smell burn odor. also check for strange rubbing sounds or screeching coming from the blower fan motor. or engine exhaust manifolds are hot when car is on, make sure nothing is leaning on them which will cause a burn odor. Any odor coming from outside will find it's way inside through the fresh air vents.
Sounds like ur ac pump is locking up its time for another one and also is your coolant level okay maybe ur heater core went out they dont give early signs of quiting they just go out
If your heater is spraying a light mist through your vents it could be your heater coil. Mine did the same thing, smell rubber burning, then started a light mist through the vents. If you don't get that checked out, it could mess up your water pump and possibly your engine
The speed control of your fan has resisters that are in the venting system to blow air on them to keep them cool. If they overheat and or burn you will lose your low and medium speeds of the fan. If you run the fan at full see if the smell goes away. Your engine could be burning oil on the outside of the engine block, make sure that the weatherstrip where your hood meets the fresh air intake grill is sealing tight.
Yeah. Pine needles get into the heater box and clog the heater fan motor's "fan". You also may have rodents in there, making nests. The wife was smart to turn off the heater fan B-4 the fuse blew.
blower resistor is common to burn causeing smell. check with dealer, there may be a campain on this problem. if not. replace resistor and harness (pig tail) and blower motor..
Is the gauge showing the engine is warming up to normal temp ? Are the heater hoses getting hot ? If the heater core is getting hot, it could be a blend door problem. The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and the ac evaporator among other things.
Smoke from under the hood ?
Smells like burnt rubber ?
Either the compressor or the comtressor clutch is bad so it locks up wen you urn it on and the fan belt is burning..
